as the question says can ya wash lead rope in the washing machine? like 5/8 poly rope? can u dry it in the drying machine as well or air dry only? does it shrink? whats the best thing to clean it with? thanks.:D

  2. I have washed it before, just in laudry soap and a little bleach...not a lot!

woukld the bleach leave residue? like for a tug rope or flirtpole rope would u still use bleach?

  4. Sure, it rinses out, and if you are not comfortable with it, do the rinse cycle again.
We use old clothes sometimes, just to play with them with and they are washed in bleach as well, I personally do not see the harm in it. Some may have other feelings towards that, but I wouldn't think so.
It wouldnt be any different than you washing their cloth bedding and them chewing it up, or your bedding or towels for that matter.

I throw mine in the washing machines as I do the collars from time to time. I then lie them flat to dry. I've never had a problem doing this. I have also thrown them in the dryer on low heat as well.

If you are worried about the clanking, chunk in a few towels to absorb the sound.

I put my collars and leashes in the washing machine, not leather ones though :) I have never used bleach nor put them in the dryer, I have always hung them to dry or layed them flat, but the washer has never given me a problem.
Any tips on washing leather, I have a would be really niced if cleaned up collar, but it is second hand and greasy and filthy. I have scrubbed and scrubbed, used orange cleaner too and it is still not all clean.

spray it with the hose to clean it ...or hand wash in a bucket.
