No i havent, my job blocked the internet here @ work & i had to beg them to un-block game-dog & myspace lol, so those are the only 2 sites im allowed to visit for now. A toaster over? I thought maybe a microwave or something :rolleyes:

No seriously, i know theres like weight pulling stuff, but what else do they compete for?

 

These dogs are old famous dogs from the past that won in dog fighting and produced good dogs.

 

someone just actually send me an email explaining this to me, but im just curious about something, god forgbit i say something "wrong" again cause i know how anal some are on this site and some topics are not allowed to be discussed, but isnt this site against that? JUST CURIOUS, i dont wanna get bad rep for asking that, i just know nothign about it thats all...

 

Well, there are different types of competitions. At a dog show you'll see treadmill races, conformation, weight pulling, and hang time. Sometimes you'll see tug o war events as well. There are also different events like iron dog, agility, and flyball/frisbee competitions. So, there are a lot of activites we can participate in with our dogs. But, the particular dogs in this thread are dogs from the past from when activities that are now illegal where legal then.

Since this is a post about historical dogs: dogs of yesteryear, involved in being matched, pre1976, this is a thread regarding dogs being pitted against one another, and what they won was their match, i.e., the fight against their opponent.

I agree the only way to learn is to ask questions. So, now that we're all clear on what this thread pertains to, please keep it on topic and keep it up=very interesting and a good thread, imo.
