i asked her for the pedigree, and am waiting to see if she sends it to me. she posted on another forum that at 4 months old he growled at her while she was picking him up to put him on the couch, and thats where it all started...

Another one of them damn idiots that think training and socialization removes nature and genetics. That girl needs to get off her PETA post and pull it out of her ass because that is the biggest self lie there is in any breed, and animal. That really pisses me off. Here you are trying to help her and she insults you. She needs to attend Attila's school of wake the hell up. Class starts on monday. I wonder if we can talk a poll and guess how many times in one year she will be saying oh my God, crying while her dog is properly socializing with another dog.

sorry i got in a little late on this thread.well we will start with the first question can a boudreaux dog have a red nose.yes it sure can, they can be any color and have red or black noses they can even be blue just as with any other line.just depends on what genes go to what dog.the majority of them tend to be black or mainly black with some white markings but like i said they can pop up in any color.now onto the next question do they make good house dogs.yes they can be great house dogs but as with any gamebred dog or just any dog for that matter you have to play with it,train it,excersice it,just keep it busy so it doesn't get bored.this line of dogs tend to be very smart and can get bored very easily and thats where problems can begin.now onto the level of fight in em.well on your tightly game bred dogs it runs pretty high, this line of dogs were bred to be pitdogs and they love to scrap so you have to always have a breaking stick on hand, learn how to seperate dogs quickly if a accident should occur, and be able to control the animal because like Attilla said they are like them hot peppers.all game bred dogs have that desire to fight but these dogs really have it.their fighting abilty and gameness is what made them the second most treasured line in my opinion only next to colby.they are not for the inexperinced owners,i would say they are good for people who have owned the breed for 10+ years 5 years at the very least.i would never recomend a person get a boudreaux dog as their very first APBT because they are just to much to handle for the inexperinced.they are literaly one of the last lines of these dogs to be like they were 30 or 40 years ago.the very reasons why i chose this line to keep is the reasons why for a lot of folks they don't work out.they require extra everything on your part.now i know a lot of folks might say oh they are just like any other line in these dogs but they are not they are very diffrent wich is why i always enjoyed keeping this line.they were winners in the pit for me,they were very smart, easy to handle, easy to condition,i liked the spit fire nature but at the same time they had that easy going people loving nature that made the bulldog world famous.i could have my best pitdog sleep with my child at night and never have a worry.they are rock solid dogs but they take some getting used to because they are very diffrent from other lines of dogs.well hope this helped you out some even though you are not helping her anymore, but any more questions you have i am just a click away.and if you wish to refer her to me i will be glad to help her as well.

While I do agree socializing can Help the Golden RULE is :
Never Trust a Pit Not to FIGHT. Maybe u can explain that to her. My dogs get along great (most of the time) till another dog outside the yard gets near then my male doesn't care He goes BUT I have been working with him lately cause I'm trying something new with his training and it seems to be working but u can tell if he was off the leash well u know

i must say her post that you posted was very ignorant.... at first i was thinking if it was the only dog in her house she might do alright.. but then i seen she has more then one :-S

maybe to accually learn somthing, probibly an accident would HAVE to happen for her to open her eyes.

i have heard of people like this and when there dogs DO show DA they put them to sleep for doing what they were bred for!!

socalizing cant take the DA out... but you can have a little bit more control of your dog.

NOW im 21 and just because somone is YOUNG doesnt mean you should judge them...and i hope you dont because people like me who accually read and study dont like to be put it a catigory. but her post was just ignorant she needs to go read lol.

same here thats why i fell in love with the line.they were everything i was looking for in a gamedog.but like i said they are not right for everyone and should not be just jumped into you need to study the line, talk to owners and breeders, get hands on experince with the line see with your own 2 eyes how it acts and then go from there.

you're right bout tht Oldtimer. When i was researching for my next dog, i looked at this line, talked to some owners and breeders and realized it wouldn't fit in with me at this point in life. Its one of my favorite lines but i'm mature enough to admit it seems tht the chance to get a ultra high strung dog tht didn't fit me at this point in life was too high, so i passed on the line. Sucks though, since everyone told me they are one of the most friendliest lines bvut alos one of the more high strung ones. good thread. great info. great dogs.:D
