Stupid people

I was driving down the road yesterday and saw a sign on the side of road that said "Pit bull puppies" so I pulled over to check out the cute pups. They had three females left, for $125 a piece no shots or dewormed. The father wasn't registered, they claimed the mother was "Eli, Eddington, and Boudreaux," but the mother was 125lbs and had never been tested in any way, When I asked about the father they said he "used to be in good health but the owner is in prison and now the dog looks like crap", their words not mine. When I petted one of the pups it was COVERED in clumps of fleas! The rest were the same and one had a huge scab on her neck that was explained to me as the result of the mother weaning them. I wanted to take all of the pups just to get them away from that stupid backyard breeder. I bit my tongue though because I knew it wouldn't have done any good although I did ask them if they would knock some off the price if I left them the fleas. They didn't get it.

 

LoL.... I'd like to know how they knew she was of some Eli.. act.. Imeself have never ran across an 125lb eli dog.. she may have gotten her words crozzed an ment to sa Perterson /camlot... LOL.. as for the fleas an worms,.. did ya ask why someone would want to buy the pup with a chance of it dying in 24hrs of anemia???? Hell I have seen ppl give pups away with atleast that much taken care of.. These ppl should be put to sleep !!

 

LOL...Sounds just like my neighbor! He has mutts he claims to be pitbulls, then he breeds them to more mutts and brings out the pups and they are covered in fleas!! Its terrible!

 

I would of reported that, those poor pups.....

 

I would of reported them also.Those dogs deserve better then that.Poor dogs.

 

Do you live in the midwest roland, because I think we both saw the same dogs. I wish that we did and it wasnt such a problem everywhere, but thats not the case and there are so many pups out there like that. These backyard breeders must communicate often because the description you give is about the exact same, except they were supposed to be pure jeep. Mother looked about 45 lbs.....said she was about 95 before pregnant the pups(was VERY proud of that) but the pups just sucked her fat off. And the dad was about 85. No papers, stool was complete worms and looked like they had softballs in their belly at less than 8 weeks old. I asked him how he knew they were pure jeep without papers, and if he had ever seen papers for his dogs. He said he had but the dogs went to the humane society and he couldnt pay for them so they just took his papers as payment. Right! I guess the point is there needs to be something we can do because this is sad, the pups are going to end up in the wrong hands and keep leading to the already bad publicity pits get. I was going to try and save the pups by telling a bunch of people i know about them and they were going to buy them and put them down for their own sake. But sadly all 9 pups were sold in less than a week.

 

unfortunately, most of the new apbt pups I see coming into my clinic are exactly how you described those. most are not registered & the term "Boudreaux" is used very loosely. Louisiana is overrun with backyard breeders looking to make a quick buck & boost their reputation.

 

unfortunately no these weren't the same dogs 14rock I'm in East Texas, I guess there's idiots everywhere. Another term used loosely around here is "gator" pits. Everyone seems to think if the dog has a longer face than normal it is a Gator pit, like a certain type of pit, not the line.

 

We have a group of people down this way that is breeding unpapered dogs of different breeds(seperately) and registering the pups CKC.I personally have seen these people at the local shelter.They adopt dogs that look full blooded and post papers on em.I went to the same high school as the girl,but we always stayed away from her.She was 'unstable'.
But I had never seen where she lived.A few weeks back my husband and I were out just riding around in the country and he showed me where they stayed.Oh my god!the house looked like it was 1,000 yrs old and had NO yard with dogs chained all over.I have heard people tell me that when the went to look at pups that the people literally have runs built into rooms in the house and that it smells so awful.A friend of ours went to look at some pit pups because he thought they were cheap and he wasn't looking to spend too much at the time.He promptly turned around and came back to me and got a pup.He said now he knows why they were so cheap.

 

i ran across sum idiot that was sellin pups and i asked who was the sire and dam he told me the( sire is chinaman look at his eyes there chinky)...lol

 

Hmm.. funny thing is, when I bought my big male, his Moma was "boudreaux".. (ended up she had hung papers)​
