are/were there any cross bred match dogs that were/are successful and earned a Ch title or better? if so who were they and what were they mixed with? were they ever bred?? would any of you buy a pup from crossed bred blood??

Why would you want a mongrel?

Not saying that I do just wondering if there has been. I wouldn't say ABSOLUTELY NOT if it was any combo of pit, tosa, patterdale, kuta or the like.

If the dog is good at what it does and what I want it to do I don't care about anything else

Good dog or not, why would you condone the breeding of mutt?

Bull and terrier and molossers mixes are probably used extensively over seas, but I can't be sure. Some of these dogs don't have a set type and vary from region to region.

But why fix what a'int broke? The bulldog has been breeding true and coming out on top for centuries.

I'm not I was just curious if there was or are any good dogs that were crossed with something. Just a question

i think he was just asking a question.

  8. I would say not but I do not believe in outcrossing with anything at all. If you want a pit bull buy a pit bull if you want an american bull dog buy a bull dog. You know what I mean. It is a good question though but I just would not do it. YOu get bad temperments and bad wended dogs. YOU might make them big but you lose wind and agility.

I can see where your coming from but what if it was crossed with another game dog breed bred for combat

i thought at first you meant scatter-bred..which got my attention.. does anybody know how many dogs have title that are scatterbred? i mean, i know it couldn't be way way off of a good line, but there has to of been some.

I once heard of a Shar-Pei x APBT mix who attained a GR.CH. The dog's name was Speedy, but I don't recall who owned him.

even if those dogs are used for shows and if you were to mixed them you may get a mean ass dog with bad temperament but at the same time it would be slow and worthless i might work if they kept breeding this mix of dog through years of different generations but why even do it i would not buy one .

i think the same as most if it aint broke etc. but lets say for instance a accidental breeding r whatever you could potentially get a good dog but it would make it a lot less likely than if bred with a apbt with h.a being my biggest worry but i definitely think you could get a good dog, i know its definitely not worth doing on purpose tho with such a high risk of a litter of manbiters or just less than average dogs, interesting tho im sure there have been plenty of good crosses(due to sheer number of mutts out there)

"jack kelly" and "john bayard swinford" mixed game bred blood with mastiffs and tested there stock, the conclusion was that the dogs were game[some anyway]

but not the deep game one would want in a apbt...And of course theres refrences to these matches on the internet if you know were to look for it..
I know a guy up in portugal also doing interesting things with neos, apbt and bandogges and hes testing them all,the results have been quite interesting...

  17. Bulldogs came to Italy and wiped Neos....they came to Spain and wiped canary dogs.....they came to Japan and wiped Akitas....thats why the Japans created Tosas....and Bulldogs wiped them.....Swindworth created the Swindworth -Bandogge....and a 26 KG Bulldog wiped his best 60kg game-Bandog in 12 min......a Bulldog is a Bulldog is a Bulldog dont cross him with anything...even if you could cross him with a lion you would get not better fighter because this choice of dogs are the REAL thing.

  18. Some scatter bred dogs have actually proven well. I've heard from a dogman once that breeding is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get! LOL!

  19. many APBT Champion dogs are scatter bred dogs. you never know what your gonna get.
If it's a true APBT then the potential for greatness is there already! but you have way better chances of getting a Champion out of a proven champion line!
and this is why we line breed!
