    I'm not one to attribute landslide importance of ancient dogs as it applies to what we have today. However, for a particular and pivotal day and time, I believe it's hands-down, BLACK WIDOW.
    I think that going back and making a study of impact for that time, and for the immediate, ongoing dogs down from WIDOW, will speak for my reasons.
    Miss Spike was not only cold, there are many breedings with her name as dam, in which she was actually not the dam of that breeding. Hard to state her impact in light of this.
    If you search far enough back, I believe you'll see the combination of BLACK WIDOW TO SPIKE, probably more commonly and more times than any other. I think the reasons for this are obvious once you take a realistic look into that day and time.

    For me personally I would say Cobra from B. Corn, Regret from Art to Lil Java, and Cayenne A tight Lightner gyp bred to Kojack which is Snow X Lucynester! Out of those three I started my yard! Fix'n to bred A male to one of my gyps bred down top and bottom on Bloomers with some Eli, geewiz I hope it clicks!!
