carefully screen and scrutinize your buyers/potential buyers (hopefully you will even know them)
this dog survived because of a member on another board. He survived on rain water for 3 weeks... :(

    Thanks.

damn that is horrible. That walker I brought home last weekend was like that. Just sickening that some dirt bag could do that to a dog. I say off with their heads. Send them my way I have a volcano of a shit list I am about to wipe clean. lol that poor dog. that hurts my heart to see such.

Man that really pisses me off. Ive loved animals all my life and could never understand how or why people could be soo cruel. I had resuced a dog off the streets that looked a little bigger than that but with a swollen abdomin. I washed her and feed her some broth and bonded with her immediatly. I tried my best and spent a good amount of time and money at the vet, but to no avail. It just breaks my heart that the animal had to suffer at no fault of their own. It really breaks my heart.

This should be shown to everyone who says that conditioned dogs should be fed. You can clearly see the lack of muscle. Poor dog I hope he lives a better life from here on out.

Man that is terrible looks way worse standing I don't know if that has any return left to it. Dang. I am willing to give it a shot to build him up. I have that Walker(Fox hound) back up and running now. She was close to that condition when I found her. I hate to see such suffering in an animal. Bring him to me I will get him healthy again or go broke trying.

  10. How do people feel about taking a dog off a property without permission if one finds same under similar circumstances?

Should I mind my own business and walk away or make it my business?

I would take the dog and have done it several times. Once on my yard they have to come through me first. I don't care who it is.

I would make it my business, as well, for the sake of the animal.
I'd take what ever consequences that entailed.
my conscience would kill me otherwise...

I have taken dogs in that condition that was on other peoples property. It is easy down here because they are normally not tied that well. Only once did the owner confront me, I told him if he wants to see me, take me court!
I just cant see this things and not do anything about it. It have cost me a lot and I have a lot of people that dont like me. How cares!

There is just no damn excuse for that. There are so many other options if you can't or just simply don't want to take care of the dog anymore. The ASPCA is quick to ride your a$$ for petty stuff but where are they when situations like this occur......Do these people have no conscience.....don't answer that !!!

It's amazing what our dogs can live through. Every time I see one of these rescues that are really bad off licking someones hand or climbing into their lap it makes me love pits even more. People have done worse to our dogs.

PEOPLE ARE SICK! If I was to see dogs in this condition I would do what ever I had to do to get them. I owe it to my 4 legged kids to care for them too.

Hmmmm. Well- I gotta stay completely true here. I do not condone trespassing of any kind, but confrontation is another matter. I'll make it my business alright, especially if I found out someone received a dog from me and abused it. I'd do what I had to do to save the dog, but I wouldn't take action without complete disclosure of my intentions to the owner, and first making an official report of the abuse. I don't condone abuse or theft by taking.
