I got them all right. However only because I know the BS that is put forth for people to believe.
    1. spay neuter does not stop a cat from roaming. It may keep them from tom catting but the roaming of the hunt drive a cat has doesn't change because you remove the reproductive organs.
    2. Saying that Neutering reduces testicular cancer is like saying if I remove your lungs you will not get lung cancer. It is a no shit type of thing. Remove the brain and you can't get a brain tumor. It is just a silly thing to toss out there. I laugh every time some Vet tells a client that line of crap.
    3. There isn't a health benifit to it the only benifit is reduction of strays and reduce the population. They should be truthful about it and just say we have too many damn cats in this nation. And That there is an over abundance of dogs and they need to have good homes of someone that will put their bitch up while she is in heat. Actually I believe that if people kept their damn pets in their own yards contained it will reduce the numbers by the millions each year. Altering animals isn't the answer. Responsible owners is. I get tired of some creeps cat or dog in my yard or any other place on my farm. It cost me money every year to keep my land pest freel
    4. Cost is relative to many factors and location is the highest factor. You will pay far more for something in a city than out in the country and age has little to do with it. Just another way of trying to get people to alter their pets and not instill responsible ownership and containment. Putting the pain on the animal not the person once again. Castrate the owner that has unwanted litters.

All this is just a form of mind control played by the government. Very little fact is there. Removing organs has it's repercussions and negative effects that should also be known. It doen't take a rocket scientist to know that if you remove a hormone producing organ that there will be negative effects on the mental and physical health of any creature. Every living creature is drivin by hormones and their prospective levels. I am not an advocate of alterizations of animals claiming some health benifits. Not true. The true solution is public education on responsibility. How to prevent things and what to look for. how to properly contain and for how long to contain the in heat animal. It takes less time and energy to tell the truth and promote responsibility than it does to fabricate and defend a lie. Some people need to fix their pets but they also should be fixed to prevent over population of idiots and irresponsible next generations. An endless cycle of ignorance.

As a responsible pet owner, do your part to make sure your pet does not contribute to the overpopulation of companion animals found in shelters or living on the streets.

I guess I need to do my homework...:(

Thanks my friend. I had a similar conversation with the two vetrinarians that I help out sometimes with lab work. In the end they agree'd that the only reason they promote it is because of population not facts. I don't get involved in the affairs of the clients so they never will hear from me unless it is an old person with an old pet that is dying. They will let me break the news softly to them about the pet. I have a soft spot for little girls and elderly people. Both can ask me for about anything and I will do it. If I had a daughter she would be so spoiled rotten. Hell if I had any kid I would spoil it. But I always wanted a little daughter to spoil. lol Any way.
I wish they would promote responsibility more.
