Well both my pups are 3 months old and I am noticing my boy growing at an alarming rate, while his sister is growing nice and steady. I just got back from the vet today and my boy weighs 28lbs he already grew out of his 14" collar and he has got a melon for a head.
The girl is 19lbs wears a loose 12" collar. They are both from the same litter and both check out with a clean bill of health. I was wondering if that seems abnormal for my boy to be growing so much faster than his sister. The father was a stocky 70lbs and the mother was a lean 55lbs.

I imagine, if they both checked out with a clean bill of health, then there's not too much to worry about, especially if nothing was mentioned by your vet, specfically, in regards to your male's weight.
We had a pup come in today, a 13 week old brindle APBT who also weighed 28 lbs, and he looked GREAT!!!! (I had to stop myself from sneakin him out the back door!!!!:D ) and his littermate was significantly smaller.... every dog, despite being from the same litter will mature/grow differently, each, at their own rate of speed. As long as they're considered "healthy" than that's what you should concern yourself with.
On your behalf, no worries... if your doc wasn't too concerned, then you can relax, as well... :)

yeah as long as they do have a clean bill of health its totally normal...think about brother and sister humans...boys usually have more muscle and grow faster as toddlers then girls mature faster thru puberity etc......I have had the same thing happen and stay different forever...its just the way they are in their genetics

My new girl Alex weighed 26 lbs the other day and I approximate her littermate brothers that I saw to weigh anywhere from 36-40 lbs. She's about half the size they are. They are 4 months and 3 days old right now. Her brother looked more stocky and she kinda gangly right now. Nothing matches on her. lol

Your pups are healthy and that matters most. Every pup in the litter will vary in size. Your female may catch up in a few weeks but there is really is no way to tell. Your male could be the freak of the litter. I have a nine month old male and he much bigger than his littermates. Keep an eye on your pup, continue proper feeding and stay current on all of your vet visits. Remember if your pup is healthy and active you couldn't ask for anything more. Good luck!
