Hey guys my 17 week old pup is getting over his rat poisoning from being at the ranch...He ate two little chunks of rat poison out there so he got treated and it's been almost three weeks since the incident, but last night about 3am he vomits on the floor than this morning he is dry heaving and he wont eat. So i put a little peanut butter in the dog food and he muched it down he seems to be acting fine also he has a few bump like pipmls under the skin on hi neck and back area. Any advice would be great. My only guess is that he is depressed because i have been real busy latly and normally i play with him 2-3 hrs a day and its been all most a week like right now he is wining at my feet.

Best thing I found for upset stomach is get some type of instant rice and cook it then add a can or 2 or chicken broth to it. let it cool down and then let them eat. I have had good luck with dogs keeping it down and keeping them from getting dehydrated. For the bumps I'm not sure maybe someone else can help ya there but I would say it has something to do with the poison but I'm not sure.

If I were you, I would go ahead and try to get in touch with a vet. Since he/ she knows the situation with the pup you may want to go ahead and get something for your pup. it sounds like the poison may still be in its system and its trying to fight it off. It would be best for you to contact your vet ASAP

Seeing the vet is good advice but it does sound like the problem is going away at least I hope so. Maybe he will learn to leave the rat poison alone?
