Be Honest Guys and Gals

My dogs are inside as well so I just pick it up when they go out side then and there less stress. If I'm at my mom's house she won't go in the yard she follows my mom's German sheperd dog and goes in the nieghbors side yard. Ahhhhh! I hate that! When we go out on walks I usually am only able to walk 2-3 miles because of my back so I haul around the poo bags. Then dump em' off as soon as I see a trash can. If we go to the lake I never pick it up though cause we are in the woods and no one else is there.

 

That's my dog, and he only craps on my sidewalk. Ya know how many pairs of sandals I go through a summer? I learned the hard way to keep shoes on when dealing with him if ya know what I mean. He drops Hiroshima sized bombs..lol.

So yours are the little shits I find at the end of my driveway every morning..lol. j/k
Its my damn neighbors dog. Imma bag it up one day and mail it to her house, or set it in a bag on the porch and lite that sucker up..that's a classic..lol

 

In my own yard, I don't worry about it. Loki tends to poop in the same spots, usually in the corners of the yard, so I just don't walk barefoot over there.

Out on walks, I almost always get her to poop beforehand so I don't have to worry about it. If its in an out-of-the-way place, I leave it. If its in a spot where its going to be stepped in, I scoop. If I'm out at a dog show, and pottying my dog, I scoop. I've been on poop patrol after a show was over, and its obnoxious to have to pick up after the folks who let their dogs make Chihuahua-sized land mines on the lawns at these nice, clean show sites.

The one exception would be ADBA shows. When my dog takes a crap next to a half dozen other piles of crap, I just don't see the point.

 

Honestly...no I usually don't pick it up. The lawnmower gets it when I mow the yard. (Which has been quite often here lately...) Out in the woods I don't even worry about it. And like bahamutt said about the ADBA show. When there is already a giant pile of crap that others have left. I don't really worry about it...

 

I pick up in the yard about 3 times per week. My dogs hardly poop outside the yard, we dont really have sidewalks down here, so if they poop outside we have big gutters! lol!

 

I pick it up 100% of the time. Is it really that hard to pick up after your dog? It drives me NUTS when I see dog shit lying around in a public area. Like wtf is that? It's a very basic responsibility you have while owning a dog. I become a raving lunatic when I see someone hasn't picked up after their dog...seriously, watch out if I ever catch you doing that lol.

 

On walks in town I pick up and then throw that away, and I always do that. Out in the woods I bury it under leaf litter off of the trail. I pick up my own yard twice a week.


Its bad PR as a dog owner to let your dog crap on other peoples lawns and not clean up if your out walking in public. And its just rude.

 

I try to clean everyday but if for some reason I'm not able to, I do it at least every other day and a bleach clean once a week.

 

it depends which neighbor my dogs poop on,,there are a few that deserve a big steamy pile,,I have a service that comes twice a week to clean up my yard,,I am to busy and to good to pick it up myself LOL

 

I always pick it up. It pisses me off when people leave thier dog crap in my yard so I dont do it to other people. I don't carry it with me either. I usually just throw it down in the sewer.

 

I carry plastic grocery store bags when walking him, & scoop it up with them when he uses it and I clean the yard daily.

 

You should have had a 99.5% option. There have been a couple of times I have not cleaned up after her...ran out of or forgot a poop bag and the poop was in a big stand of ivy or in a bush...but I try to hit 100%. I take bags with me when we walk along the waterfront or the public parks. Too bad more people don't do this in my town, there is dog crap every 4 feet. The city provides free bags on stands every half mile or so and it is the law to pick it up but no one enforces it.
I live in a fair-sized town (100,000 folks). Blue is always on a leash, except in the back yard but she only gets out there supervised to play flirt pole and pee and poop. I wish I had some friends in the country so I could let her run around free.
When I had 3 dogs I used to pick up the yard daily, but now with just one, I pick up the poop before mowing the grass...
Sometimes I dump her poop bag in someone else's garbage can so I don't have to walk a long way carrying a bag of dog poop...lol..at least it would be a good deterent for muggers!

 

Well, I live in the country in North Louisiana. I rake the chain areas once a day, away from the dogs, then when I mow, the mower chops it up. I have a fenced area directly behind my house where I have pups to yearlings off the chain, unless one becomes an escape artist sooner, running loose and playing. this gets shoveled up 3 times per week usually, my two girls, one 6 and one 3 play with them back there. That has been the norm.
Here lately, and I have no idea how this has happened, my little girls have found it to be fun to shovel the poop. so I have a small kid sized shovel and one will carry the bucket, and one will shovel. They ask me everyday,"Daddy, can we go shovel the poop?"LOL. Well, I dont have to tell you, I will milk that one for all it's worth!!

If I was in public, I'd probably be one of the unpolitically correct folks and leave the poo, unless a police officer was watching, and then I'd have to search for a bag. Like I said, most of our time is out here in the country. I do have a couple I take with me most places, and have never had a problem, accept when they poop in the back of my truck!! Now that really gets me going!! HA HA

crap? i would pick it up if i ever seen him crap. he's a special breed that i never seen crap. i pick up what i see. too bad i'm blind as a bat. jk. 75% circumstantial of course.

 

Depends where he craps. For the past year, my dog and my neighbors mutt have been on a sh** war. So, some people deserve it. I don't usually walk my dogs in my neighborhood, I take 'em out on a trail in the woods. I figure, other animals do it, why can't my dog?

 

Usually 3-4 times a week in their chain spots. When we're walking I don't pick it up at all because we're out in the country. Now, if they shit in the front yard, then I pick it up as soon as they are back on the chain. If I don't, I'll forget about it and step in it next time out.

 

We clean ours up everyday, actually when we are here all day, we go out 3 or 4 times a day and clean it up, but our dogs are on chains, we have to...dont want them running in it or anything! Plus it keeps the flies away!!!
