Earl had a bitch named Tudors Jane,her sire was Frisco sport JR.son of ch frisco that was said to be half bull terrier he bred jane to his black jack dog. just something i found out when i looked at frisco sport on peds on line.

 

If the terriers didn't old back especially to badgers then they be none left to breed, some patterdales are actually too hard for badger and that's only going to end one way

 

On the Rocks how come when i post up something thats facts you run your mouth off talking bad but cant back it up you just make silly comments . I stated the Wheaten after Bull blood was added deteriated very quickly and today they are a shadow of the great breed they once were and now its near impossible to get a purebred working Wheaten if not impossibble that is a fact . I also stated the stafford was ruined by the addition of Bull terrier blood and purebred working staffords are very hard to find and the dogs of today are less game than those of the past . As for the CH Phycho dog having bull blood or any other dog having bull blood are you telling me thats a good thing , its like having a tub of ice cream then putting a dog turd in the tub would you eat the ice cream ? add more ice cream then would you then eat it ? keep adding ice cream until you cant taste the dog turd but would you then eat it , well i wouldnt but hey you probaly would as its only 6% dog turd in the ice cream and that dont matter

 

I wasnt trying to say Kerry Blues were game only that a couple qualified game under Irish KC badger trial rules , they were never classed as being game fighting dogs neither were the other native Irish breeds such as the Glen of Imaal . Irish Terrier or Wheatens they were vermin control dogs only and to use them as fighting dogs is pointless and in my eyes cruel as they were not bred to fight

I heard that some crosses have happened within the Sporting Stafford every now and then, also KC show type dogs have been added.
So do you really think it had such a tremendous impact on the breed in general as long as they still are tested and properly selected? So how about some crosses to APBT?

 

I just don´t appreciate the way you sit here and slander all others but your own. I have heard these statements in various versions over the years, and it has become really boring. Psycho himself had 6.25% Bullterrier blood, which has nothing to do with his descendants. The statement proves enough about your understanding of genetics.

Currently we are not talking about 6%; we are talking about significantly less. Any geneticist would tell you that beyond a certain point in a pedigree, there is no relevance any more. It is about 50 years since the known infusion was made. Today it is totally irrelevant! So I do not consider it either good or bad. I would argue that the lack of selective breeding programs is the main concern.

 

hmmmm the site is called game-dog...I'd say they are on here because the majority of people who work them consider them game, why else wud they be on here?

 

What about the Pitbull the Bull Mastiff the Wheaten and dogs that quit cold in front of at least sixty dogmen and were later used at stud or the dozens of litters with false pedigrees that i saw along with other wellknown dogmen do they also not matter now tell me how you selectively breed from dogs bred like that , incidently Bull blood is the least problem these dogs have now how do you like your ice cream , just bring it on !!!!!!!

 

i don't think you actually know what gameness is by the way you talk. and yes the pics of dogs you posted the dogs were fat blobs. they look like show dogs nothing else. why do you keep talking about how tall a dog is it doesn't mean anything all the dogs you posted look like show dogs to me.

you might of had a staff years ago but you honestly do not know anything about dogs. i suggest you learn about them before arguing with people. again this is not a personal attack but you have a lot to learn if you think all terriers are game lol. and by the way the original bulldog aka apbt came in all shapes in sizes they were not big non agile dogs.

Doginhold i owned a number of dogs that were crossed between Pitbull/Stafford and Stafford/Pitbulls these dogs were outstanding match dogs one won 6 contract matches and was Englands first GRCH the other won four matches , howevor i never bred from either of these dogs as i felt they were end results even though many people wanted to breed to hem . I also matched and owned two dogs that carried Bull blood and won with them but never bred from these dogs either , i owned them to match them nothing else all these dogs were found good pet homes after they were retired and NEVER bred from

???? That's how the breed will be preserved! If anyone of us gets a good dog that's games and proves it and goes on to be quite successfull then we'l not breed it and retire it and no offspring to continue the blood. This I really don't understand, sure that's just a waste of may be a good producer?

 

The reason i did not breed from the dogs was simple i had my owm families of staffords and pitbulls that didnt need crossing and i felt the dogs were end results and one offs that were of no use in my breedings and as i owned them didnt sell pups or stud out my dogs that was my choice and i couldnt be bothered with people wanting to use the reputations of my dogs to sell there pups i didnt want the publicity or competition

There are enough people here who know my credentials! Keep calling around about this debate and perhaps you will strike lucky and find out too. Anyway´ s you make a lot of assumptions about my person in this post, neither facts nor truths. Just a creation in your mind about what you think I am. Perhaps your views on the dogs are as flawed.

 

Iv no real interest in SBTs, or dogs down from "Psycho", I had them at the time because they ware the local breed and changed to APBTs when they became available, I never cared about the EBT in "Psycho", he did not look like there was EBT in him, and it only appears in his 5th generation, but he had 9 off chain shows , all -v- pure bred SBTs and won all easy, he had 4 contract shows and 1 loss at a higher weight and it was his new owners first match, but he did produce better than pure bred SBTs, people who had the DUBLIN RED dogs in Dublin, switched to "Psycho" dogs or bred to him and his son "Max"..at the time of "Psycho" pure bred SBTs ware a very low ability dog and lots suffered from having a stamina and breeding problems, this is why APBTs became the dogs used in sport they ware just better at every thing, natural wind, ability, mouth, gameness, and as a breed much easier to condition

Im not disputing CH Phychos record just stating Bull blood isnt game blood and isnt good in any family of dogs be they staffords pitbulls or wheatens and aint noone gonna tell me different , i also owned pitbulls both English bred and dogs i imported but never did i think of adding Bull blood to anything i owned , the last post was for On the Rocks , i also competed with the pitbulls i owned
