I've spent all the breth I care to on this so here is the end.
Your pup is an average house pet at best. Mine is prob not a lot more, ...well ok it is because even though like yourself I am married w 3 kids I still find an hour a night of work plus a five mile walk w my dogs daily.in between running my own buisness, tae kuon do, and dance class.
You are making yourself look like an ass by spouting shit bout athletic n able staffs then posting pics of your couch potato's.sorry its blunt but true. You've been told and don't get it and probly still wont but you made me say it.
You don't hafto fight your dog an bring him home all banged up just get off yer ass an work him. And don't spout bout what you don't know

So they used the local dog because that's what was available until a better fighting dog was imported(APBT) and people abandoned the staffs for it. Makes sense. Hopefully there were still some people who kept the staffords just for the love of the stafford and tried to improve it, but I'm not from Europe so I wouldn't know. Thanks for your answers.

The staffs are dispatched after the roo dogs, a sighthound cross, have quarried off the kangaroo and the staffs go in and finish the job.

Without wantting to create a hissing fit let me explain a few facts , up until 1968 the Irish KC held legal badger trials for the native irish breeds , the Kerry Blue was not a prominent dog at the all breed trials and the only Kerry blue to qualify was a dog called Irish Champion Fiery Batchelor but this was at a Kerry Blue only trial , a bitch called Good Lass qualified at a all breeds trial but two dogs simply dont make a breed game and Kerry Blues were never a game breed . As for the Wheaten/Bull cross this was done by Irish dogmen who held the view that gameness to gameness breeds winners , the Wheatens were dominant at the trials in the sixties with dogs like Hacketstown Jack and his son Brownlow Bob then his son Freecrow Hero being some of the better known then along came Peter Gormans Peter Sinead a dog that was dog of the year three years in succession the only dog ever to achieve this . The addition of Bull blood produced some great game dogs such as Lance who was dog of the year twice , but the addition of Bull terrier blood eventually ruined the old working Wheaten lines just as it did the working stafford

I don't know, I think this is a pitbull/staff/ forum...I don't know what you'v seen but on a dig that last for two hours the terriers really only get stuck in when they hear or feel the digging..they are a terrier why are they on here ?

when they know the shovel is getting near, a bull dogs gameness gets tested when he is being dominated by another dog and he struggles to win, not with some animal that don't want to fight, and the dog knows it

i know all the above is correct, but I still think 6 minutes proves nothing, the fact they could not qualify tells you something

I still don't think you know much about SBT/APBTs from the comments you'v made, as for the SBT in the photo he looks typical show blood?, and you keep going on about 19inchs whats that to do with anything, he don't get to be a good dog by being 19 inches, plenty of APBTs proved them-selfs being 16 inches...the photo shows a dog to me that looks like a bad winded dog, panting heavily, one of the big problems SBTs have ...believe it or not Iv judged many shows SBT/APBTs and the SBT you'v shown here is typical show conformation

Look as for the badger thing, i've explained what i mean but you feel the need to try & impose your thoughts on everyone & won't listen to men who not only owned but also worked the breed for as long as your 30years so i'm not gonna waste anymore time on it. Your nephew seems to get what i mean so why don't you ask him.

As for a tantrum & insults that's funny, that was honestly telling you how i feel about the majority of your posts, nonsense to say the least but you've been there & done that so you know best, a man who has 30 so called years experience with the breed should have more to offer than the tripe you post.

What you said was there are big strong / athletic type staffords round the area you live, thats bullshit going on the examples you've given, the white dog is a bigger than average stafford, nice dog, wouldn't call him athletic but if i owned staffords then i would happily feed 1 like that but i dont, There are breeders in the u.k who specialize in breeding athletic type staffords, they are out there, they can be got, the 4 dogs you give examples of are not athletic staffords, what can you not understand about that or is it the rose tinted glasses you're lookin through thats stopping you from seeing what me & everyone else sees?

I asked how many dogs you've owned & using my calculator & rounding it up a bit i'd get maybe 20, is that right? 20 dogs in your 30years of experience with the breed? That might be normal numbers under certain circumstances but for me it just confirms how you go through dogs like some re-decorate their houses or change motor every 2 or 3 years. Is there any reason or explanation for so many, lost some through illness, few ran away, what is it? as in my eyes it's not very nice. I haven't owned too many but at the moment i haven't got any dogs, that ok with you?

As far as posting very little on here i was taught if you've nothing worthwhile to say then better of saying nothing, something i think you should take into account & put into practice. I come on here to learn, enjoy reading & getting educated on all things bulldogs, what i dont enjoy reading is mindless dribble from the likes of yourself, only 1 who says dumb shit on here is you & how many lads have to tell you that before you listen? Maybe when i have 30years of experience i'll start posting on here but it won't be the nonsense you spray simply because. whats the point?

So you dont want to resort to the language i used 'at least not on here', you also think i've verbally attacked you & thrown a tantrum & insulted you, i definitely wouldn't call it that! Where we live isn't a big place, if you feel the need to say anything to me in person & not 'on here' i'm sure you already know who to speak with to arrange it & i'd gladly meet up with you & repeat anything i've already posted on here.

Sweet jesus, just read the kerry blue thing, more tales from the unexpected. And just 1 more quote which demonstrates your knowledge from your 30years experience :

"you're assuming because you see the dogs being safe with children that the dog isn't willing", that says it all.

You keep talking nonsense. When dogs have been associated with you, anything seems to be excused. When they were not associated with you, you slander them off any chance you get. You have nothing good to say about any dogs except your own, right?

The known BT infusion is 6.25% in Psycho himself, that is so far back today that it has absolutely no genetic impact on today’s dogs; any geneticist would explain that to you. On top of that there are some other rumoured infusions of BT blood, but there has been no proof. Either way, the genetic impact is so small that it does not ruin anything. It’s just a cheap way to degrade good dogs.

The American dogs of Walter Komosinski had a BT infusion, yet they are a sought after blood to this day! I don´t hear any Americans slander them! That shows the difference in character! Look at all the bickering going on at this board, the majority is by Europeans.

The only thing that may have ruined the working Stafford blood is the lack of selection and good breeders! But there have been a few good breeding programs. Since the dogs with known BT infusion has been amongst the best, it puts your thesis to shame. You must be one of the most kennel blind and egocentric people I ever heard about.
