lol, this is someone who had some nice KC bred dogs from pure show line and unproven dogs and that is not this man intentions for breeding.
But he is very active with his dogs in normal sport competitions.
The only result in that is that he is breeding healthy dogs and got some drive.
But it is in no way close related to the old standard working dogs.
And should not even be compared with them.
But for show, i prefer to see them like this then the other fat piggy's we see today in KC show rings.

breed politics have divided these dogs into staff amstaff pitbull irish staff old tyme staff etc and its all BS! their is only one dividing line and that is game or non game. if you admire a true game bred stafford , bred from an unbroken lineage of true game bred dogs traceable back to the black country , then he is known today as a game bred apbt. any claims made regarding half bred staffs mixed with ebt blood or wheaton blood are products of fantasy. if the type of bull terrier isnt proving his worth in the fast lane then he has no worth. the stafford is an invented breed dating back to 1936 . he is heavily based on the pitbulls of cradley heath and has become a characatuer of this type, the old walsall type was of noted superiority and is still recogniseable today in the game bred apbt. the real authentic game bred bull and terrier is alive and competing as he as always done , and he is not found in the make believe world of irish old tyme lines.

why people bulk up their dogs to such extent, the bulkier the muscles the more oxygen needed and the faster is wasted/used, not to mention how much and how fast they can use energy. i know is a lot of work and some of staffords look alright like that and you gotta give credit for that, but why? wouldnt that defeat the purpose of a well balanced stafford.

  8. Not being funny but, your not gonna job done by putting a muscle beach studd in a coal mind , or a metrx poster boy to do a lumberjacks duty,,,,, but thats just my opinion! You all get my drift a little right?

  9. A models a model, a futbol player is a futbol player! You just cant put one in the pitch for 90 minutes and think your gonna qualify for the knockout rounds!:dogdrink:

i agree with some of tigerlines points but the kennel culb bunch are the people who divided the bred and messed it up,if the pit bull had of been a recoginsed registered breed and the english kennel culb where making money of them they would not have been banned and we would not be taking about staffs now

I'v seen a few of those quinlent dogs, nice unique looking little dogs but not what I'd call a working type allthough they do well at sports. One young dutch bloke who had a little 30 pounder quinlent dog cracked me up, said to me and my mate as his dog was on a springpole don't let your dog look at my dog he will kill them both!!! What a 21" 55lb working type stafford and an American bulldog at once ??

They must be pretty good then ey :D

Having been on this site a few months now and enjoying the read from a historical point of view, looking back on my first post which was in this thread I realise that I had my wires crossed.
These dogs are nothing to do with "working" but are great little athletes in a sporting context.
I apologize for my naivety at that time.

I do feel like someone in europe must have game staffs not that you would ever find them tho. I mean the concept makes sense a breed originally bred for combat must have fanciers behind doors that are still interested in it and are not interested in fame.
