Working Dog Weekend

As some of you know we have been have working weekends once a month here in Cincinnati The events are Sponsored and supported by our newly formed working organization here in south west Ohio, Southern Ohio Protection Sports (S.O.P.S). These weekends have been designed to increase awareness of dog sports and dog-related act invites in our area. So far we have had people form Ill,Indiana, Ky ,West Virgina and Northern Ohio. We are less than a week away from our third S.O.P.S working weekend at Premier K 9 (Cincinnati) January 27&28th. We are going to be at the same location 239 Northland Blvd Cincinnati Ohio. We are going to do a lot of the same things as we did last time, working on OB, Personal protection, Weight pull and an OB tournament also the Protection tournament.

New this time for fun we will have a 50/50 raffle and a raffle to win some dog goodies.


This weekend will be a warm-up for the February weight pull and Iron dog, We will be having a fun pull on Sunday weigh-in are at 1pm.


There will be a food vendor all day again. Eric Rowe will have goods from Wade Davies Sr. again such as the weighted collars; flat collars leads and picture CDs and more.

All breeds are welcome for the training. If you do not have a dog and want to just come and
watch we are more than happy to have you come out and watch. There is a small spectators fee.


The price for the weekend will be $50. For two dogs $70. For three or more. If you are coming for weight pull only two dogs or less $25 for three or more dogs $40, and if you would like to just stay and watch with no dog $10. We will start to sign in @ 9:00 and start events no later than 10:00 am. You are welcome to come anytime either day and join in at what ever point we are at.


In 2007 look for sanctioned PSA, weight pull and other working events to be held at Premier K 9 (Cincinnati).

For those interested in agility and fly ball we are working on opportunities to do these events also. The working weekends will continue. For those interested in PSA look for the Dayton (Dewberry family K 9) AND Cincinnati (Premier K 9) PSA club who have joined together as S.O.P.S.(Southern Ohio Protection Sports association)
