The Yellow dogs were good game dogs a tad bit big yes and a little boring it was like they were taking a nap till u broke em and they got to hooting n hollering lol. But a good line of dogs none the less.

I don't know both had some real key dogs that I like alot.

I like the mentality of the hollingsworth tant dogs but whewww a good hargrove or boudreaux dog is hard to beat, which one tends to breed more true? I've noticed alot of crosses between the all 4. I guess I still like the heavy chavis dogs over either or.

In the 90's we would cross that Yellow to Nigerino x Chinaman from WSK and they were some awesome bulldogs! A couple of folks on here had some of those crosses n,they were good as any i'd take one like that now. The best i ever seen was a cross of those blood. Yis Ole Man.

They were all tough, durable dogs" ...... stp kennels...... i saw lukaine and a number of other good mayday dogs. with great conditioning a dog like lukaine is very hard to beat. he was just like stp described them. a good, tough, durable dog, with talent. i didn't want to get on ed's dogs here as i already got into this on this board and got attacked and basically called a liar, kind of like icepick is doing to others on here. but here it is and this is only one persons opinion and experience. i haven't seen a ton of them but a saw a couple of ed's dogs in hunts and they quit. i know two different very active dog people who told me basically the same thing. they said they went through a bunch of his dogs and they all looked like you really had something special but when things got tough they would pack it in. now this was some time ago before the cowboy dogs and his later stuff, but it is what it is. I'm sure he produced some good ones, and he was a very nice guy when i met him. the reality is though back several years ago when all this took place you couldn't go to a show in the northeast with seeing a mayday or red boy/jocko dog or red boy/jeep dog. many of them were very good. one of the best litters of dogs I've seen was off a daughter of lukaine bred to bo's nasty. they were very high ability dogs with intensity and gameness. they didn't lack anything.

 

Ive seen a whole lot of mayday dogs, i'd say probly close to 30 and only saw one human agressive one....But i believe it came through the cross i did with it, as i found later on one of the dogs i did the cross with was throwing human biters..... I'd go with mayday stuff over wildside stuff anyday(IMO)....Not saying their arnt any good wildsides dogs, just that ive seen and been around alot of good bulldogs and the mayday dogs showed a higher percentage of quality bulldogs....And those who say Ch B-lines cowboy wasnt a champ??? Lol, Who cares, he's produced some nice game animals....There was a legit ch grandson of his around about 5 years ago that made a name for himself....Never really had a stud career as the owners didnt mess with the public(I dont blame him).....There's good and bad in everyline and if you dont think so, it doesnt bother me....I agree with what bill said somewhere, 98% of people that own these dogs , dont deserve them... Know many of folks just in it due to their ego problems and being greedy.....

 

thats one thing i can agree on. i really couldnt trust our dog off mayday. but i think it was more of a over protected dog to its owners. this was one of my favorite dogs.

No shots @ Wildside, they have good stuff, but the edge to consistency goes to MayDay, but WildSide is always turning out good dogs, but MayDay's are for the professional.
