Each state had different laws regarding DF, NY was one of the first to outlaw it around 1850, and LA was the last state to out law DF in 1981 I believe and in American Samoa (a US territory in the south pacific) its still compleatly legal... Who what when where.. I don't think there's an answer but as we all know just because it was put on the books didn't mean it stopped... There was no blow out legal get together. It has always been an outlaw sport even when 'not illegal'...

nope, in 1982 louisiana was the last state that it was legal in ( but it was against the AWA of 1976 to bring a dog INTO loiusiana for a match, so it would only be legal for LA dog vs. LA dog)

iirc wyoming its a felony, in neigboring MT is a felony BUT its LEGAL to be a spectator
