I have had 33 Bulldogs at one time. That's when it becomes a job. I was spending 1000- 1200 a month on dog food alone. Just for me to rake there areas twice a day, change there water once a day , and feed them took a minimum of 4 hours a day to do a decent job. I have seen some amazing things that these bulldogs can do. Anything from escape artist, to digging machines, to what have you. I'm a working Man , hounds are a hobby. Well once I got above 12 or 15. It became a job instead of a hobby. A very expensive one at that. I must say this also, I couldn't go out of town for a few days, I had to be at home to take care of them. The most I ever saw in person was 200. + Joel Kirby ( rip ) is longer in business his yard was in Cades SC. Hard wood Kennels. He couldn't leave for any length of time.

I remember reading somewhere that Leo Kinard always kept a big yard. I don't know the exact number, but I'm pretty sure it was over 200.

I won't say a name but I went to SC a few years back. This cat dumped three bags of feed in the back of a John Deere Gator. We rode and talked while he fed up. They were not heaping scoops either. It took nearly an hour to feed. He said his son spent 4 hours per day raking and watering. I would guess 200 or better.

200 on the chain. The puppy and brood pens were full as well. No telling the total count.

A couple gyps, A 2yr. old prospect, and A litter, I'm maxed!!!!I remember coming home after 8/12 hrs. as A welder/ironworker and having to deal with just 10-15 dog's and maybe A litter! Damn take A shower and eat, tickle the wife and just pass out!!! Luckily I have some great help! In fact after A serious injury years ago I had A family member take over everything, or I would have lost everything!!!! With the way things are big yards are history! Without A tight group almost impossible!
