Angela... 18 in February. Yes I'm a baby still lol.
I don't own any APBT's or even a pit bull type dog, just a rescued mutt (lurcher?) named Kat.
Volunteering (working on being added to the payroll) 3 - 4 days a week out at a training/boarding/grooming kennel that is also a foster home and non-profit rescue organization. Around 40 dogs on 14 acres, running in a pack and ranging in size from 5 pounds to 200. Crazy, right? lol I pretty much just rake poop, water the dogs, and run around with them. Occasionally I do some cleaning too. :p

In the future I plan on getting my GED and moving in with my mentor for a while, earning my keep by doing pretty much the same thing, along with lots of conditioning. I'd like to get my first gamebred before then but we'll see. I've been waiting for 4 years, since I first feel in love with the breed in it's true form, so I guess I can wait longer.

hi my name is andre and although i do not have post on this site i am here alot, reading through threads doing searches for info. i been around gamedogs since i was about 19 i'm 29 now. i own one game dog and (since i've moved into a bigger house) looking for another. i've never bred any of the dogs i've had and don't intend to. i'll leave that to the professionals. I truly believe in responsible ownership of APBT's. I'm just a guy who loves the breed and will do any for it.

I guess i'll throw my couple cents in here. My name is Dre i stay in rochester, new york and i own 1 unpapered dog. Been around bully dogs my whole life and never really knew anything about papers. Everyone that had dogs around my area got them from whoever had puppies at the time and couldn't really afford paper dogs. My next dog will definitely be papered just because its alot of things i would like to be part of and discussions i would like to comment on but don't know my dogs history. I am sometimes a conflict starter, but i speak my mind and never claim to be something i'm not. I'm on here to learn some things, meet some people, and leave a couple comments hoppin to make a difference

  6. I am from the lowcountry of SC and I have 5 gamebred APBTs, all from the same breeder, who also happens to be my mentor. I have a bully dog, too, and she is just a big baby. I haven't been in the dogs long, but I learn as much as I can, and my mentor has been in it his entire life, as was his dad and grandad. I still have plenty to learn, one of the reasons I joined this forum. I don't post much, only when I have something I really want to say. I love showing. Two of my dogs have already been shown once (one is pointed) and I have two that will see their first show this spring. I am a member of an ADBA club and I do my best to educate people I meet who bash the breed. I do make sure I have my facts straight before I say something!

I am 36, a housecat by profession. I do not call myself a "dogman" as there is much I do not know and have not experienced with regard to bulldogs. I own only one dog. He is three. He was given to me by my mentor. I do not know whether or not he is game. I do not typically make him cupcakes. I have never bred a dog, in a back yard, back door, or otherwise.

I am not into internet dogging, which means I try not to post my personal business on the web, and I stay out of internet discussions unless I have something unique and useful to add. This is why my post count remains low.

Who am I? Well my names Kostia i just turned 19 and i live on the westcoast. I moved to america when i was 4 years old from moscow russia where i was born. I grew up with tons of respect for my parents and grandparents since they were always working hard and taking care of me. I cant say im the best kid though, i have been in trouble with the law before but definetly do not consider myself a thug or gang member. Over here in cali you no we got the bomb trees so i took the safe route and got myself a medical cannibus card to make sure i stayed out of trouble with that stuff. So far it may seem like im the typical bad apbt owner but smoking and my behavior have not kept me from my passions. I have been riding bmx bikes for almost 5years now going through many brocken bones and surgeries. Id like to turn professional and am trying to see what the next few years have to offer for me. As far as me getting into dogs it all happened about a year ago when my friend purchased a pup from some guys van in LA. I was staying with my friend and fell in love with the dog and the breed. About 3months later i got myself a bully aswell from a random BYB. Once i got my own dog i began getting even more interested in the breed which led me to this forum. I dont post too much but can guarantee that im on here almost everyday lookin at new threads that are popping up. I feel that this site is a great place for begginers to gain knowledge about the breed and learn something new on here almost everytime i check the site. I feel that having my boy west will prepare me once i am ready to get a gamedog and try to be as resonsible as possible. Even though i still live with my family and go to school i try to be a very responsible owner, walking west daily, feeding him properly with a quality dog food, and mainting visits to the vet. I am currently looking for another job since Pizza Delivery is getting a little to hectic, but you can bet i spend more money on my dog than myself. I like to consider myself a responsible owner who is helping the breed by educating all the people that seem to have a negative opinion about our dogs. Once my time is done with my bmx career you can bet i will devote myself full time to becoming a true dogman. So far id like to stick around the site untill i am ready to get started.

    Edit ;)

This thread is totally legit, why muck it up? Who are you? Why is it self righteous BS when someone else has no problem answering this question and creating a thread for those who are true to the breed to contribute and answer with their own stories? Personally I think this thread is a GREAT point of reference for the buttholes out there who have the wrong idea about people here. I hope it doesn't get closed, it seems to be having a nice weed-out effect :)

Why is it that every post I made on this subject is gone, while only parts of SW are edited?..I didnt say anything that could be considered disrespectful in the least way..The moderator that did the "editing" was clearly showing favoritism as he/she left most of SW's post up..It is what it is I guess..

First off, please read the following rules...

    6. Argue with posts, not the poster. Debating topics are good, but arguing, flaming, or bashing between members or of any off-site person, site, or kennel is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Firm and direct constructive criticism is encouraged and often necessary, outright insults are not.

    23. When someone replies to something you’ve said -good or bad- don’t take it personally. Remember this is the Internet, nobody knows anything about you nor you about them. Often “tone” is misunderstood in the written word, try not to take things out of context. If you are confused, simply ask for clarification in a PM.

    29. Keep your posts on the topic the thread was originally created for. For different topics, make a new thread in the appropriate forum. If you feel like chatting, there is a chat room available.

Secondly, there is/was no favoritism shown. While you may not be able to see the removed posts, the mods can and the removal count shows no favoritism.

Finally, if you have a problem with any actions taken by a mod, take it up with the mod or if you don't feel comfortable doing so, talk to another mod about the issue.

For what it's worth, I have asked for a review of this thread.

Many have enjoyed reading the introductions being left by members and any and all efforts were made with the sole purpose of keeping the thread open and for the introductions to continue.

    Take care

    DryCreek :)

My name is Rachel. I was born and raised in Florida, and will probably die here. I have been married to the most tolerant man in history for the last 11 years. He puts up with all my "dog" bullsh*t even though he doesn't necessarily like it, LOL.

I have been around bulldogs my entire life. The first dogs I remember where a daughter of Midnight Cowboy, Brandy and her son Rewster. I was about 4 or 5 years old. My dad was an enthusiast before 1976 and I remeber him leaving with Rewster and coming back home to tell me about the things Roo-Roo had accomplished;) , the whole time sitting there with Rewster in my lap in awe of our amazing dog. I remember him going out on the weekends in the air boat with Brandy and Rewster and bringing home a hog or two and my favorite, frogs, LOL. I LOVED watching those frogs jump around in the bottom of the air boat and would even help my dad when it come time to chop the back legs off. Those are some of my fondest memories.
When I was about 8, I went to live with my aunt (the most wonderful woman in the world). I finally convinced her to let me keep one of my dad's bulldogs when he had to place them all out. He was a great-grandson to Brandy. His name was Buster. I had some of the best times with that dog, and he was one of THE smartest bulldogs I have ever known. He changed many minds about the temperment of those "pit bulls" and loved nothing more than to go to the river and swim. I can't tell you how many summer days we sat at the river, Buster and any number of our friends.

When I left home and got married, the hubby was a little leary of keeping a bulldog around our kids, so we compromised and got a shepherd pup when I was 5 months pregnant. He grew up around my daughter and when she was 18 months he bit her. He had a very dominant personality and unknowingly, I allowed him to be alpha over me. In the end, everything that happened with him were errors on my part, but I vowed to NEVER have another breed other than a bulldog.
I have had my own bulldogs now for the last 8 years, and through trial and error am figuring out what works for me. My daughter Jada has been attending ADBA/AADR conformation shows through-out Florida with me since she was 6 years old. She loves showing just as much as I do. We also use our dogs for catch work and though most wouldn't look twice at our dogs because of thier pedigrees, they work thier asses off for us and that counts more than others' opinions.
I have bred 4 litters in the last 8 years, and know exactly what each and every pup has or has not accomplished. Most are catch dogs used here in central Florida. Some of the few that didn't turn out how I liked were culled. Most would give me slack for eliminating some of these pups, but ultimately it was my decision and I don't regret any of them. I'd rather have fond memories of a pup, then remember them with poor opinions as adults.

I'm one of those people that will tell you exactly what you want to know, all you have to do is ask. I'm proud of my Irish/Jewish Southern Heritage (what a mix, I know, LOL) and will defend MY history as quickly as someone else will trash it. I have a terrible temper that the Irish are typically known for, and sometimes, it gets me into trouble. I will tell you EXACTLY what you don't want to hear, because it's what I'm thinking. I believe in HUMAN RIGHTS, and the right to defend yourself and your property, and to do what you please with your property. I don't go snooping to find out what my neighbors are doing, and I don't want them doing it to me. Not many people are "allowed" into my personal life because it just causes too much trouble and I don't care to explain my daily life to someone who may not understand.
I believe you should have the right to spank your kids--remember the saying most of us grew up with? Spare the rod, spoil the child. I LIVE by this, and I feel my children respect me and thier father all the more for it. When we are not spending time with the dogs, we take the kids to ride thier dirt bikes/four wheelers, or we go mud-boggin' or trail riding in the woods. If we can't take our kids with us, we don't go. My husband and I are very family oriented, and I think it comes from both of us having crappy childhoods. We enjoy being parents most of the time, though there are those moments where we look at each other and go "What were we thinking", LOL.

I guess that about sums it up for me. I appologize for ranting on for so long....and remember, if you want to know you just have to ask:D

I'm just a man who has lived, loved, lost, and not regretted a thing. As a kid (even though I'm still 28) went with my great uncle all the time to his friend's yard. Shoveled shit, fed, watered, whatever just to be doing something. Had a pup or two growing up from his yard but really never looked to start my 'own' yard. I always thought that the old-timers should take care of that. Second oldest of 5 kids, lost my dad at 7, became the "man of the house". Grew up in a small town but got exposed to a lot of stuff growing up. Always had a hunting lab for ducks, a pointer here and there until the pheasants pretty much got eliminated. Learned to play the Blues from an ole boy from Chicago. Went to college, got a good job, quit that job, found another job, bought a house, remodeled it. Bought a fishing boat. Beat a deadbeats ass and took his dog and gave it a good life. Love the breed, have seen the real deal when it comes to these dogs. Met a woman who keeps me in line. No drugs, can drink like a fish. Family is #1. No kids. Will get a couple of APBt's when the time is right. Work hard, play hard.
