    I dont know about the females so much, but Mr.Mims dogs do tend to have a bighead as Mr.Hargrove mentioned in his interview...
    Maybe not all as YOCUM was very handsome and properly proportioned, seen a handful of pics oof him and he is a handsome bulldog...
    ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [17830] :: MIMS' YOCUM
    Alot of pics of both Snooty and Redboy seemed to show enlarged heads, maybe it was a funny angle...Or maybe thats where the heads come from???
    An Ironic twist to Mr.Hargroves interview where his champion GUS dog was open to the world, was they same interview where he mentioned that he repected
    Mr.Mims anad his dogs but thought thier heads were to big...
    I dont know if some one into the adba showring took offense to these staements, but not more than a handful of monthes later, Mr.Hargroves words hit GUS like a ton of bricks...THREE MINUTES LATER GUS WAS D.O.A... As the grandchampion AJAX had what seemd to be a huge head...
    Release your dogs and Mr.Hargroves style of fast paced bulldogs jumped the gate and beat AJAx to the punch...
    Mr.Hargroves stated that AJAX haed was to big to hold up, hit GUS in the head with his battle ram for a head and with GUSs speed it killed him instantly...
    Possibly the shortest doa in history and a rare freak accident, but than agian those MIMS dogs have big freakish heads...

    My late friend Dirty Dixon(RIP) and his kennel partners had the Yocum jr. dog and his son MethodMan, whoms pedigree resembles Biggy, fairly close...
    Geehad kennels favored Mr.Mims bulldogs over all the other good dogs they aquired from alot of different sources...
    I like the MIMS dogs that have thier fair share of CAROLINA FLO/King Soloman and Bolio crosses, as well as the COOKIE brood...
    ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [688] :: MIMS' COOKIE
    Great husbandry, as well as genetics and she welped thirteen at thirteen, WHAT??? Impressive to say the least...

    Cookie I feel was one of the more underrated producers of this line, also love the little bit of Stu Flower blood in her. I always have wanted a tight Stu Flower dog but have never come across a chance to get one.

    A TRIBUTE TO A GREAT DOG...
    On a cold night in "ole miss", a few dogmen came together to witness a three card show. Little did I know i was to witness one of the greates dogs that i have ever seen. the dogs name was HI-LO, it was about 8:30 and the second match of the show and a man from florida with his champion Oscar. The man from louisianna had his one time winner HI-LO, the referee said pit your dogs and they get to swapping heads and legs for over an hour, at this time HI-LO started to take over.
    From then on it was all HI-LO, but oSCAR had no quit in him. So they went on for two hours and then three hours with HI-LO still on top of a down champion Oscar,
    But not out.Still no turns or out of holds called, then at three hours and fourty minutes a turn was called on Oscar. A handle was made and Oscar scratches,
    another handle and HI-LO alos scratched. Another scratch a piece and at a minute short of four hours and oscar is unable to scratch and HI-LO scratches to win at four hours and four minutes. These were two of the gamest and best head dogs swapping the whole match that I have ever seen. HI LO didnt make it either and gave 150% and we will miss him very much.For those who read this, believe me when I tell you HI-LO was a great game dog that comes around once in a dogmans life, AN ACE.

    Anybody know if Mims Ruby Red has a Pedigree???
    This was an interesting read I ran across and thought I would share, A TRIBUTE TO A GREAT DOG...EP...

    This is a nice little male we are breeding to now. Snooty/Redboy with a shot of the Cardenas.
    Since no one can repeat or duplicate Mr. Mims dogs we have found the best way to keep it going is to go out away from the Mim's family and then come back home.

    Went away with some Eli/Molly Bee type stuff and then back to Spiffy/Lucky. Skull won 4, twice well over two hours.

    Just did this one. The ones that work will go back to the Mims family.

    Arguably the hardest biting dog ever. Brutal. Plain brutal.

    These dogs are the ones that the Snooty blood plays/played a major role. Diggin' the Snooty family. S

    It seems you prefer the dogs without Spike blood. Am I reading you correctly?

    Just never had a lot of access to it. I always admit my shortcomings. In the dogs my biggest shortcoming is that I am cheap, really cheap when it comes to buying a puppy. I just can't bring myself to pay $$$$ for a puppy. My making that choice by no means is any kind of statement about what other people charge, or what other people are willing to pay. It is just not me.

    The heavy Spike dogs come with a hefty price tag. On the flipside I was getting heavy Snooty dogs for a lot less, an awful lot less, and I was riding up and down the road with the 'cheaper' versions.

    On the few occasions the Spike dogs were available I had to make a choice between a high dollar chance or a less expensive dogs that were working for me.

    Basically I never bit the bullet. S

    This is the pedigree for Jazzy. Ruined her teeth early but that never changed her mind. I let her get away. S

    Understood. I can understand the reasoning behind the decisions. I appreciate the explanation. I'm sure if you felt it was worth the extra you would have but that probably wasn't the case .
