It amazes me that this was even a thing! That was the most unworthy piece of news I’ve seen in a while... they could have separated those dogs waaay quicker if they knew wtf they were doing!!! On the flip side I bet both of those owners now talk about how badass those dogs are!!!!!

Anytime you can pick up a victory in the pet store that is a dog worth breeding. I'm guessing those $2000 pups just jumped $500-1000 bucks.

I'm hoping I have worked my way up the waiting list.

There isn't a whole lot other than ODs and murders that go on in this town of 122,000 people. Most anything can make the news here.

For future reference. The dog that is doing the holding pick up his back legs. Gently pull back. When he re-grips he will be a loose. Lots of non-bulldog types will let go when there back feet come off the ground. Plus your hands will be far away from the cur snapping.

But I am sure this story will be the news for a day or so.

That would have been a very easy seperate. The blue dog isn't even in hold at all. Only have to break off the one in hold. I would have had that seperated in seconds. Then again, I would not even think about taking one of mine into this kind of situation to begin with.

These are the kind of people who shouldn't own these kinds of dogs.

At times I wonder if geniuses like this should even have house plants.

And as I crawl down from the high horse.......hopefully this does not lead to the real bulldog guy down the road getting hung up.

Guilty secret! It's Christmas eve 1991.. Scotsman visits me at a city centre flat where I'd been staying since my wife threw me out.. No one could say Scotsman never walked his dogs, he went everywhere with them, always walked/worked Champions Yogi and Hagar together, they was brought up together from pups, suppose they just became a working unit and it's known that after Champion Yogi defeated GR.CH.Ned, he travelled back home cuddled up to CH.Hagar on back seat of the car.. Scotsman walked his dogs around 6 miles that day, from the city suburbs over hills and through woods to the busy main street where I lived at, full of cars, taxis, buses and Christmas shoppers.. We drank coffee, talked some shit and I offered to drive him home so he could avoid taking the dogs back through crowds of Christmas shoppers.. We get to the corner of the street and collide straight into a woman out walking her cocker spaniel.

Hagar gets hold of it's ear and Yogi gets a mouth full of fur and skin around it's throat, the spaniel is screaming, the owner is screaming and Scotsman standing there holding onto 2 leads watching the carnage unfold before him.. I managed to choke Yogi off the spaniel's throat (no breaking stick) and tether him to a lamp post, then I try choking Hagar off the mutt's ear.. The woman ready to pass out and the spaniel howling like a banshee! It get's getter!.. There's a psychiatric hospital located close to where I was living at the time and one of the out patients comes over and starts ripping his clothes off in the street and screaming "get me a fucking machine gun!" I look up and a crowd has gathered around, the buses have all stopped in the middle of the road, everyone watching Hagar shake the shit out of a screaming spaniel, the lunatic from the hospital is half naked, still demanding a machine gun and Yogi is tethered to lamp post and baying for blood.

I got Hagar off the spaniel which appeared more shook up than injured really, we all made a quick escape towards my van which was parked around the corner and even today I still can hardly believe we got away with it.. There was no cameras on mobile phones back then and the public wasn't so knowledgeable on bull breeds, but that's probably the only reason that catastrophe wasn't splattered all over the front pages of every newspaper in the country.. I sometimes think about that incident and all the other incidents and near misses I've experienced, or heard about over the years and I always come back to one simple conclusion.. BULLDOGS ARE COUNTRY DOGS AND DON'T BELONG IN CITIES!

It happens. Like I said, 'crawling off my high horse'....

One of the best females I ever owned was a Bolio/Eli female. I bought a male out of the litter and he bought the female. At six months old he was walking her in a dog park. He did nothing wrong and she did nothing wrong. A poodle mixed dog came running over to her and snapped her. (poodle off lead and owner not in control of their animal) Chloe snatched that dog up and knocked some holes in her before he could get them separated.

It cost him nearly $2000 in vet bills and court costs. Why? Because he had the pit bull. And he was a pit bull owner. Simple as that. The dog had to stay with animal control for 10 days even with proof of rabies vaccination. That cost a chunk. Animal control recommended she be euthanized but the judge denied that but he in turn recommended he being spayed because of the pit bull problem we all face. And three or four puncture holes may as well been a heart transplant for the vet. He milked the shit out of it.

He gave her to me as from that point she was after anything on four legs. She ended up winning one and losing one, but she was an exceptional dog.

So I hate the guy in the video is getting hammered but some times you just have to know what you have on the other end of the lead. And the easiest person to lie to is yourself.

All dogs will fight. They simply need a reason and another dog. The reason can be a surprise to us so our best preventative is to keep them away from other dogs.

But at the end of the day they put themselves in that predicament so to the victor go the spoils.....and the opposite is true as well.

I couldn't count the number of times I've been in mad situations with dogs, you never know what's coming around the corner or over the top of the hill, how do you legislate for other owners who's dogs allowed to run free attacking anything that's in front of them (canine or human!) but equally I don't understand bulldog owners who neglect keeping their dogs under control or bother learning how to separate them if an accident occurs.. Easy to say everyone should carry a breaking stick, but some carry the best looking sticks I ever seen and don't know how to use them! Bulldog owners need to get in and separate them dogs (breaking sticks or not!) If they gonna own them, they need to learn to part them! Nothing more desperate - embarrassing - painful to watch than someone shouting, slapping and pulling on their dog's testicles while it throttles the fuck out of an old lady's pet mongrel!
