I can acually make my own as I lived with my grandmother in my late teens and early 20s. She's full blooded Sicilian and can make just about anything. I don't got all day like she does though so I just buy mine. Same with the sauce.

Lol she talks shit to me about it when I say I don't have time to make my own sauce and Meatballs. Old Italian nanas have no chill or political correctness in them. Brain to mouth lol.

My family owns an Italian restaurant and bar here called Nunzis. I grew up eating so much wop food I can't eat it often anymore. Lol.

Erie, where I am from, has a huge food scene. It's about all there is to do here other than bars and bowling. Lol.
Most everyone is a fat ass pig here and they all wear yoga pants. =))

  12. Ha,ha,YJJ.......all I use is butter.leeks.potatos......start the leeks of in the butter(salted butter).when they soft.add chopped potatoes.and pour in some chicken stock.(any,,,,but I use organic low salt chicken stock cubes..better to use water of boiled chicken to.but kettle water will do!.lol)..cover slightly with the stock.boil.cover.simmer until done....when done season with salt and pepper and Worcester sause.....that's it!..no cream in the soup..but drizzle some on the top before serving.if you got it in the fridge.if you aint, tough shit!lol....put the chicken breast chopped up on the top,and the veggies on the side.......it's that easy to make i been eating a bit to much of it lately.lol.........and YJJ,,Mexican seasoning in a stew???..sounds crazy lol.sounds nice tho...you folks got the craziest,,but by far the best food ideas!......speaking of crazy,,....I make the craziest chicken leek and Potato bake..made in a Welsh rearbit sauce..but instead of stout or dark ale,,I use a very light ale...and instead of cheddar I use Caerphilly cheese...and I pack the sauce with Tarragon.....it's crazy, but it's good!......ide like some of you folks to take my recipe and try it..I think this is my creation.lol....but YJJ..make some,it's good.chicken leek potato bake.in a Welsh rarebit sauce.......

It's just a regular Meatball. Has Hamburger and Veal mixed. Add salt, pepper, garlic, oregano and parsley. Bread Crums and an Egg or 2. A splash of water. About it. Then you pan fry them till light brown in olive oil and minced garlic.

When they're done, Throw them in the sauce to finish cooking.

The only difference in how I make them and my grandmother is she puts shredded eggplant in hers.

  16. Wow.shredded egg plant and mince garlic in the oil...I bet there very nice.....Italian or Sicilian has got to be the most harty food the world over.always full after you eat it,never room for more....and the passion and love they put into there cooking..I truly believe if you can't cook with love you can't cook at all..I no this because sometimes I just can't be arsed cooking, and when I feel like this the food comes out rubbish.lol.....if I try a little bit,it normally comes out ok.lol...
