Who ever said it was all done legally? Even in states where it is legal I'm sure the black market is much larger.

All I'm saying is the DISPENSARIES are doing it legally in my state because they have zero incentive to do it illegally. Why would they risk losing their license which is worth north of 1 mil, get prosecuted, and lose their entire lucrative business so they can sell weed for $3 a gram instead of $12. It doesn't make sense.

Another scenario. If I got a store on a block with 10 other stores all selling the same thing. We all sell it for 20 bucks but it only costs 2 bucks to make. Now because there all this comp every body biz is slow. So I start selling some on the side for 10. I'm still making 8 bucks a pop on the side and killing em cause of the lower price. I ain't gon lie my storefront might become just a front

You're leaving out that it still costs the same produce. That overhead isn't going away if you sell some on the side. You're still paying rent, utilities, insurance, licensing fees. You should also realize that you are selling a product that is finite because the state controls how many plants you can grow. The only benefit in your scenario would be dodging income taxes and any good CPA can do that for you.

Isn't taxes the biggest cost seeing as how their ongoing. Are Bill's for the year more than the taxes paid on said biz. If not squirting taxes will net you more. No? If not why people always getting popped for tax evasion

I think you're comparing personal income taxes versus a corporate structure. Just look at Amazon who had 11 billion in profits.

It's the same here but you need a medical card and have to pay an extra fee too grow. So I can grow 6 plants legally but I sure as shit can't sell it.

Also why do small businesses complain about tax if it's not a major hit to the pocket.

Before prop 64 Humboldt's limit was 100 plants says my buddy. I don't think they have a limit now.

I think we're comparing apples and oranges. Trust me....I know tons of money are made on the side but I am trying too explain how dispensaries work in my state. Nothing more, nothing less so I'll break it down one last time.

To get a license to be a dispensary you're looking at over a mil, and that is if anyone is willing too sell their license because they are finite. Very much like a liquor license. They are regulated by the department of health, inspected regularly, and can only grow so many plants. There is a limit for every dispensary and each dispensary MUST have their own grow. Every single plant has to be accounted for since we are a "seed to sale" state.

Now with that laid out why would a dispensary sell on the black market with all of those risks, and have to sell their product at a fraction of what they get in their legal storefront.

There are 454 grams in a pound. On the black market high grade weed fetches anywhere from $1700-$2300 a pound. Yet they can stretch that at around $12 a gram which adds up to $5500 a pound legally. With those percentages tax implications are eliminated.

Time to lighten up the mood here. Not sure of the strain but it tasted great and had a good hybrid high.....not too heavy on either end.

We manufacture a CBD terpene sauce with that exact strain. It's basically a gram of CBD isolate terped with SFV OG. Goes great with dabs or just pure medication.
