what kind of music do you all listen to?

    I used to listen to loads of Country music on the radio david, steeped in it for around 10 years.. All the old stuff and suppose Dwight Yoakam, Lyle Lovett, Nancy Grifith and Steve Earle was considered the new wave until they labelled them 'Americana'.. Liked them anyway

    Me old ma loves country music .. she’s got alzheimers now and the other day my daughter started singing islands in the stream ... to my surprise she started singing along and could remember all the words ! Strange how things like this they remember !

    I'm country right down to my boots mate, I play Carl Perkins style guitar, play the banjo, love Bluegrass, Cajun and Zydeco, fused it with Irish and Scottish folk music, invited the whole street to my party and no cunt came haha!

    I'm left handed too mate, So was Hendrix, Paul McCartney and both Campbell brothers (UB40) incidentally.. Pity we live a 2 day camel ride apart or I'd teach ya how to play Carl Perkins style!:-O

    20 years ago I'd have agreed with you david, loved JC's attitude, but then quarter Scots x quarter Cherokee Indian so what can we expect.. Lately I prefer Willie Nelson, definitely as subversive, just a little more laid back, plus Willie got a weed strain named after him, which I think is brilliant! haha!

    I done the same when I owned my Stratocaster mate.. If you really appreciate premier Guitar playing, check out Jeff Beck playing at Ronnie Scott's in London, Stratus and Day in the Life just perfection, the man a complete master and Tal Wilkenfeld (bass) not bad either haha!
