I work for Colgate who owns Hill pet food, so I get a great deal on my Science Diet lamb and rice. It's great for a healthy dog.

I tried a few of the "6-star foods" they must be too rich or something. She gets the squirts every time I mix some in her Purina. So I'm just sticking with the Purina Pro Plan Selects Then I give her some grilled chicken and rice ever now and then for a treat.

    Found this on another board

No one seem to want to give you the dangers of what this raw diet will have on your canine. There is a down side to feeding this Raw diet!!!

    1. Your Pockets seem to get heavier and heavier thru out the year and may cause stress on your joints.

    2. The freaking dogs start to gain an abundance amount of muscle mass appearing to look as if its on steroids!!! Must be illegal chemicals in raw meats from the meat industries.

    3. There are HUGE side effects which causes the dog to be extreme hyper and long winded unlike you have ever seen before in the same dog you've been feeding kibble to. The Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde theory. Reminds me of Crack Heads after a hit.

    4. The dogs body starts to leak out some type of oil causing the dogs coat to appear to be glossy even when dirty(how can that be normal) clearly not natural or common. You notice bodyfat starts to disappear over night.

.5 Last but not least...Let it be known. I've fed the BEST dog food known to man. During cleanup time I could smell the crap and walk straight to it and scoop it up. Even quicker when stepping in it. Raw Diets makes it very difficult to find the poop. You want be able to smell it and it will be hard to find it. Some how chalk like fossils appear the next day. Have know idea what it is but may look like crap. Step on it and you will see exactly what I mean.

Kirkland Signature from Costco is great. It is a very good feed at an affordable price $0.60 per lb. That is almost as cheap as feeding raw. It is also being ranked as one of the five best feeds on the market by dogmen.

Also after JAN 15 of this year they will be making improvements to the formula posibly making it the number one feed on the market.
