What are the typical traits of Eli dogs

What are some of the traits they posses,are they athletic, how do they act etc, any input would be much appreciated.

 

Anything and evrything from short & stocky to long & lean, with form fits function and the closer to confirmation the better athlete they should be...
Alot of tight bloodlines from the seventies are high strung if not outcrossesd, but god crosses seemed to cure that...
As far as Eli dogs, there are so many and you you would have to be more strain specefic down to the first three generations...

 

Ok so how bout dogs off chinaman stock off Tom garners yard or dogs that are heavy in maverick blood?

 

Chinaman ain't quite "Eli." He was a blend or cross. My dogs family is high strung, straight ahead, 0-100. And nippy! If they get excited they will nip at what ever moves past their mouth, teeth chattering and popping. Nothing painful, just annoying. They are a Maverick, Skull, Six Bits, Toby blend. Yes, I know Skull is off Maverick. My gyp has no Skull. Like Elias said. Different families are bred for different qualities.

 

I heard a majority of the TIGHT frisco dogs coming from TG are shy towards people...
Some of the CROSSES not so...
I also hear that the TIGHT maverick dogs are high strung and need outputs for thier energy and they might still nip you...
The Prettyboy line of bullyson dogs and the rest of Ramseys Arty dogs show alot of brains, maybe from the Arts Missy side...
Some of the renegade dogs retained cruise control from the nigerino/gr ch art/eli jr side, while others seem to onle have overdrive from the bullyson side...
The cardenas dogs seem to be a complete eli cross...
Llantes was a great eli bred dog that was very smart and good with his pups...
THE BEST ELI DOGS ARE NOT PURE ELI BUT CROSSED, if tg is your cup of tea I would try my luck with the cardenas, cottingham, hollingsworth families that were crossed with his...
But the MOJO and ELMO are some of the best frisco chinaman crosses from what I hear...

 

Huge family.Many branchs with manny breeders influence's .Different Dogmen bred different eli dogs looking for different traits.Impossible question to answer.

 

And then what makes it harder to answer is I've got dogs all bred same that display different traits than one abother

"Eli" is a catch phrase anymore.

 

Like stated before, the "Eli" family is available in a huge array of families, lines, physical traits, styles etc. And what most consider and brand pure "Eli" dogs are really Eli-Carver, Eli-Booze and many other blends, but they just get categorized as "Eli dogs", specially if black is the dominant color. What I am certain of is that it has probably been the most peddled bloodline becasue of it's success. So most of it is watered down from unproven animals.

 

The truest! Most Eli dogs were crosses then tightened back up on the Eli or Boze. Bestia, you have or have access to some AWESOME ANIMALS! Y'all keep up the great work and standard high!

 

The bottom side of the avatar dog is said "Eli" family breed (chinamanxskull),anyway is it just the strain I select or do the tight bred ones always seem to smile (show choppers),and prance fast. Also all mine have or had the black in the mouth, and yep black or red with black mask themselves. The red with blackmask ones reminded me of Nigerino or Art. I keep them all.

Well, let me say this..ok, there are pure strands of Eli and its tru that Chinaman is just not 100% eli.. but He was a 50/50 eli/carver cross pretty much!! And a lot of those carver dogs come off Eli dogs like carver's black shine or carver's stompanato (rom) so Eli dogs do consist of a lot of carver but watch out now cause a lot them are Eli and Tudors- and so on...if you don't want to call it pure eli then its pure Eli/Boze dogs and they are brothers so i'd say it is pure Eli bred dogs...just saying

Yeah it's a half brother but it really ain't a difference with how they are bred..both are dibo dogs..but you know what I mean buddy and I'll tell a better strand of Eli to..that black biter/skull crusher stuff man i'm tellin ya those Boudreaux dogs are phenomenal better stamina,mouth,and smart!! That's what I have and gonna cross that with my solid bred boyles/machobuck/gr.ch.yellow John stuff!! Whatcha think buddy
