ive noticed something with, one of my dogs that im in no way worried about but im finding a bit amusing nonetheless. ive moved back to my home state recently, after a stint elsewhere for awhile for work and due to the bsl laws in that state i chose to not take both dogs with me if something happened, i wouldnt lose both. So due to age and temperement i left my favourite dog with my best mates who knew her well and while i was away she was looked after aswell as i do so i was happy with the choice i made knowing she would be there when i got back. well as we know these dogs change hands pretty well i had no worries with how she would take it. we had a pretty strong bond stronger than any of the others ive had, and when i first seen her again she went completely apeshit, and that was over a year between visits back, now ive moved back permanantly im back spending at least six solid hours a day between dogs.

Something she has never done before is leave food she sucks it down as soon as ive fed it and by the time ive cleaned up her shit on her spot the bowl is empty.
the last two weeks when it comes time to feed i will go about it the same way as allways but she is now eating alot slower, as soon as i start to leave her spot she stops eating and watches what im doing, now lets say i go inside for two hours and come outside for a smoke ive noticed her food hasnt been touched since i last left.
As soon as i get into her spot she has a happy grunt and goes straight to her bowl and continues grazing slowly, then when i leave again and she stops , this will go on like that until shes polished it all off.
Now shes ten this year and she hasnt changed anything at all tempwise since she got out of the initial pup stage even looking at her she doesnt look a day over three. im thinking this maybee the first sign of her turning into an old dog.
im finding it pretty funny because its looking more and more like a permanent habit.

Has anyone else had any dogs with stupid little habits, and what are they?

HAHA oh yes this was almost a daily situation when my girl was only being fed kibble. My goodness she would tick me on and off by this sort of habit it would worsen as she grew into an older puppy. When it was narrowed down to one to two meals a day this was the highlight of meal times. First I would pour her kibble in her bowl have her sit patiently and then set it down on her food stand. Most times she would just stare at it or me for such long periods of minutes before even rising up to an eating position and then she may begin to eat. If I were to move somewhere else from where I was originally sitting she would stop and watch me, and usually I would wait for her to be finished from behind her in the kitchen where she was still able to see me. If it was a lucky meal time she would return and finish it but most times to much movement would cause her to not finish her damn meal! this drove me mad believe me...I would think man you are starving yourself over this Zoey?

Well let me say things have changed ever since we started supplementing raw  she trembles even for the fact that it is dinner time because she is so anxious for her meals now she can care less where I move or watch. It's very humorous in my mind now what a dog :dogdrink:

what are you feeding her junkyard?

I see well I suppose it's just a weird trait of hers :p:rolleyes: maybe she just wants to reassure that you will not be leaving her again some dogs do that sort of rubbish.

Disco eats anything that comes from a pine tree including both male and female cones, bark, sticks, and the green needles. I dunno why, but he luvs them. My pine trees have a ring around the bottom where he has removed the outer bark and eaten it. He also eats pine bark mulch. Sigh... I've always thought it was a rather weird and silly habit.

And he's the first dog I've ever had to habitually drink from the toilet, lol.

  7. Forget my screen name and chinaman not being spelt right. I suck at spelling, additionally i made the record back when i was considerably all the more new to the breed.

So i simply got an e-plant. I would lean toward a support plant or rug factory i figure however it simply is not in the monetary allowance right now. I had the capacity get a really decent e-plant for nothing on craigs list. I get wht i have to do to get the canines on it and am really stoked to get it now as i have a 5.5. month old pup that i can inprint to it whhile he is still adolescent. I trust that way he grows up cherishing the thing? My inquiry is, do i have to know anything particular about utilizing this sort of factory with my canines. I have seen numerous utilization them and say they are incredible including numerous respectable pooch mentors. Then again i do recollect perusing ina string some place that e-plant can be awful for a canine.. something about the puppies stride and it not being self pushed?

Any tips exhort or remarks are welcome. I am continually ready to listen and attempt and learn. I will make my decison focused around variouse reaction and afterward my own particular individual judgment. Much obliged in advanc for any assistance. I dont wanna harm my pooches.. that is what is most essential to me at last.
