    SOMEBODY STOLE MY DOG.

He was tied up in the yard (there isn't really a front or back). I am almost 100% positive that I saw the person who did it. He was sorta near the corner of the yard and there is a chain link fence around all sides of the yard, but there is a fallen tree on the side near where he was (away from the road). It's very easy to get in an out of the yard from that point-I've done it many times. It would have been easy for someone to sneak over and unhook his harness. He will alert bark, but only if he's in the house. If someone comes walking up the driveway he just stands there tounge and tail wagging. He's such a friendly guy. Anyway, right as I was coming outside around 6pm yesterday, there was a car parked near the fallen tree in the empty lot next door. All I saw was some leaves moving and the passenger side door slamming and then the guy ran around to the driver's side, got in and took off real quick. There's some brush along the fence line, so I couldn't see the guy too good, but I could see the color hat he was wearing and what kind of car he was driving, so I called the police and a cop came out and I gave him a billion pictures and all that, so...

I WANT MY LITTLE FELLER BACK!

I have already driven all around town and called Animal Control and the HS and left my name and number, so hopefully I will find him. The cop told me that there is A LOT of dogfighting around here, so I'm a little worried that whoever took him might be into that. I don't want him to get hurt. I love him so much and I missed eating breakfast with him this morning.

    I hate people.

    F%ck!

I hate how the term "Baitdog" is thrown around so loosely. The implications of that term is horrid. Unless you see this act with your own two eyes......do not perpetuate this term as a comfirmed act.

    JuicyCa,
you know that the method you chose to confine your pet was at your parrel.

so sorry simms, again i will reiterate that i am not a scholar on all the terms and lingo, i am pretty sure *someone* knew what i was trying to put into picture there. why is everyone so quick to pick to death posts anymore?? what is going on? i was simply showing sympathy and anger at the loss of his dog, period, nothing else, and i am sorry that i used a term incorrectly. sheesh!

crap... this is far too common and people don't realize it. You really need to be careful, it happens to all breeds, even mutts, for thousands of different reasons. The could just like the look of the dog and want it, the could be animals dealers or they resell them, who knows.

I am very sorry to hear this, I really hope you get this dog back. Posts in the paper w/a photo and a REWARD and as many frickin flyers w/a photo and a REWARD are most definately your best bet.

I live in a sorta' edgy nieghborhood (thank God I'm moving this Friday) so if I can't watch my dogs they are in the house in thier kennels or in the house with me. I'll only let them out if I can see them. I do this because people are evil #1, and when I was in High School my nieghbor's doberman got stolen, and then within' the week we had about 5 dog thefts happen in our nieghborhood. We lived in a very nice niegborhood that was 2yrs. old. It hit every one very hard ever since I've never kept a dog outside if I couldn't watch it.

Oh, and pepper mommy nice new colage you have made there very cute! I like it!

If you're putting up flyers also fax/deliver them to vet clinics in the area and notify all the police/Fire dept's in the surrounding districts and deliver/fax fliers to them as well....police patrol all areas and are out at all times of the day and night I had one found by doing this(dispatch called me at 3am). The dog will need to be walked or outside at some point in time. Most likely the person who stole your dog lives in your area or passes by where you live routinely. Make the area hot by getting his picture out as much as possible. It could possibly make it a risk to have that dog and they may turn it in for a reward if no ?'s are asked. Good luck. Hope you get your dog back.

Also, take note of anyone taking the fliers down. Also, if you add "reward" to the flyer... you have a slighter chance of getting the dog back. Many people steal dogs and wait for reward posters to be posted, and then return the dog claiming they found it. Yet with this breed...who know? I'd try it though.

That really sucks. I had a dog stolen years ago out of my privacy fenced in back yard. Booger was old, fat, nuetered & lazy, I have no idea what they wanted him for other than the fact that his ears were cropped. I no longer let my dogs out without keeping a very close eye on them. I don't stay out with them as much as I did but my house has windows all along the back so we can see every inch of the back yard.

Good luck finding your dog & you might want to keep them closer to the house.

Well, well, well, so kids what have we learned today? Never leave ur dog in a vulnerable position. Lesson learned. I never ever let my dogs outof my site. When I go to work, my wife is there. No chains in the yard for them unless me or the wife have clear view. Isn't it too hot to leave dogs chained up in the yard for any period of time? Sorry for your loss JuicyCa, but u people have got to learn. U never know whos is watching and waiting for you to slip up. I was walking my female about a week ago and this woman pulled up next to me and hopped out her truck and said I had her dog. I wanted to say BITCH u must be retarded, but I said no maam I have had her since she was a pup@ 6wks. Sorry u lost ur dog but if u notice how she follows my commands then it will be clear that she's not yours. So, I showed her a few tricks that Boo knows and she gave me her number for me to train her other dogs. The moral of this story is, along the way u might meet some other dogs that are pretty cool. Ok, sorry for the stories but I just noticed my friend on here. Gotta go!

OK, well! I appreciate the kind words from some of you, but to imply that it's somehow MY fault that ANYONE would come into my yard and steal a dog is outrageous. That's like saying that if someone broke into my house i must have not had it locked up well enough. EXCUSE ME that I don't have the time or money to remove the tree and fix the fence on a property that isn't even mine. I asked if I could put a kennel up in the yard but I wasn't allowed to. I didn't even choose to bring the Feller home-it was my dumbass BF. I couldn't help it if I fell in love with the little guy.

I don't keep him outside 24 hours a day-he is in the house a lot of the time, and I'm sorry if i don't look out the window and watch him the entire time he's outside. I have to keep him where the homeowners SAY I can keep him. At least I tied him up. I did the best I could given my current living situation. He wasn't THAT far from the house. I can see where he was from almost every room in the house EXCEPT the kitchen-which is where I happened to be at the time, and while i was waiting for something to simmer, I decided to take out the garbage and I cought the tail-end of the supposed kidnapping.

I HAVE seen the car drive past here many times before. I'm going to do a "stakeout" this evening and see if i can get a better description of the perp LOL.

How nice that someone can watch your dog 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, I have the job of taking care of a baby, and she requires a little more attention. I take VERY good care of him. He had only been outside for a little more that an hour, and ad far as it being too hot-yes, it's pretty hot, but there is shade and a kiddie pool for him to play in (which he does quite a bit) and a BIG tub of fresh water. I should expect that my dog can be tied in the yard for an couple hours without being dognapped.

I know some of you guys are so perfect and none of you make mistakes, right?

I agree with ya on that one.... bait dog... one of my pet peeves....

Juicy sorry to hear about your dog. Dont give up hope. Two dogs were stolen out of my yard and we got them both back about 2 1/2 weeks later. Put posters everywhere.. Offer a reward. That is what we did . Someone saw the posters and ratted thier friend out who had the one dog.

Dont be sorry. If you dont know how the term came about...do a search, sort out the facts from the subjective information on this term...by all means, join in on some myth busting.

Do you even relize how easy you made it for someone to walk off with your dog? I'm sure you feel bad,I know I would for sure.

If you get him back, maybe you ought to just hand walk him.

  19. JuicyCa

    JuicyCa Big Dog

I do hand walk him. Sometimes I have to keep him outside for a little while so I can get things done in the house-he gets in the way sometimes. And no, I didn't make it "easy" for someone to walk off with my dog, I just made it LESS HARD, LOL. I do feel bad, but I also feel like I tried my best to make sure he was OK.

I made flyers and I'm about to go on my stakeout-I'm gonna track this MFer down.
