Back in 2009 or so I was working with an older guy, around 70 or so and we talked about dogs and APBT. Turns out he bred them back in his day. He brought in some pictures and whatnot (didn't scan them back then) and it was pretty interesting. Had mad mentioned that one of his dogs was direct off of turttlebuster, then bred back. Not sure, as I am not as knowledgeable about bloodlines as most others. Gave me the names and these came up. I showed him and he said they were his. I thought it was pretty cool, just out of nowhere you meet an old guy with a lifetime of experience.

For whatever reasons I think the Turtlebuster dog was liked by many fanciers that didn't know much about him but just heard of him, Fargo, Timex and there stories and accomplishments. We always love the idea of the hidden gym concept and I think those dogs had that power to those outside of them and there area. Hell if anything Gaines chose great names for those dogs and then they seemed to live up to them. And I'm not down playing the dogs or dogmen I'm just stating an outside looking in perspective in my opinion. I know I was a big fan for what ever reason. And Stratton probably helped the alure that seemed to come along with that line for many others. My only personal experience was when a fella moved to my area with some Medlins outlaw/redboy dogs and some heavy turtlebuster dogs. After meeting him I was more then happy to invite him out to the property but by days end I was nothing short of dissapointed in almost every individual I saw from each of the 2 strains he brought out. I did not and still don't hold all turtlebuster or redboy dogs accountable for his group of dogs. I'm am just stating my experience. I have seen and used some great redboy blood in my time but that is another topic.

Thanks, I don't know much about the bloodline in depth, I just thought it was pretty cool to talk to him. He actually gave me my first chain set up.

Well, the 2nd dog you posted, riles jack was a full sibling to wardogs turtle girl dam of wardogs donq and barbwires roxy rom. If you don't think those 2, don and roxy threw word class bulldogs then you don't know which end to put the leash on.
