I use the one's that goe's on the bicycle I fabbed a mount for it on the mill and put the magnet on the front roller

  3. Walmart! Can use the same style bicyclist use for there bikes. Very easy to install. We used a bigger magnet though and crazy glued it to the roller. The hardest part is calibrating the odometer to your specs. If you need pics and/or part number let me know and I could post.

  4. Kickass! That's what I was thinking but wanted confirmation :)

    THANKS for the responses! :)

Buy the one with the programs you wish, i dont like the wifi ones tho. Then you'll see in the instructions how to set it up. Usually there are codes for every wheel diameter. In your case and If i remember right, you'll have to measure the lenght's belt and introduce it into the program.

All the ones I've seen seem to have set sizes, I don't know if you'd get one that's able to do what ever the mill is, maybe 10'?

    Could be wrong tho.

  8. With the setup I have....all you have to do is measure your roller and plug into equation! You could do KM or Miles.

  9. That's what the one I have does. I used it last night and it works perfect! I did have to use bigger magnets though because the little one supplied is supposed to pass within 1mm of the sensor and I couldn't get it that close. I had some SUPER MAGNETS as they are called and used a stack of 3 and it works like a charm. I'll post pics of it soon.

I have a dog trotter and there's actually a place he mounts the computers he uses so that's where I mounted mine.

  10. Here is my set up. The computer part is zip stripped to a mount that is already on the frame of the mill. The sensor is glued to the frame. You can see it near the magnets. I didn't want to glue anything to the aluminum hub, so I glued a square piece of metal to a piece of velcro and stuck it to the wheel. The magnets are then stuck to the metal. It works perfect. :)

Another possible way that requires math but can get you distance....use the little clicker counters. Found cheap at garage sales and such. Measure diameter and set up so the clicker is clicked each rotation. Now you know that ever click equals x distance....say X is 12" diameter or 37.68" circumference. So 100 clicks is 3768" or 314 feet....

Thats cool boogie, I havent put any on my mills yet I was thinking about it I would just like to know how far a good 10min run is. I would get about 3 miles with the dog on a bike give or take, How maney does a good run get on the mill in 10 mins??

  14. Bronson goes 2.5 on a 10 min run. That's a fairly hard turning mill and propped up on a concrete block so he's going uphill.

i sold one to a guy a few years ago to a guy and he installed one himself. It was a programmable one/universal fit for a bicycle (universal for different size wheels)....I will send him an email but I think I remember it coming from Wal-Mart. I personally have never used one as I have never been concerned with distance. I have always used a stop watch and let the dog determine how long. I will check on the one from Wal-Mart. Best of luck. Thats a pretty good clip then. I thought it would be around that, That is cool You are going to bust everyones ass with them red dogs on the show clip up there with that thing LOL yall better be affraid!

  17. That's what you do with this one slim. Measure the size of the wheel, convert it to mm, and multiply it by the number they give you.

LOL I've always had mills. Just got this one a few months ago though. :)
