OK, i am new to this site, and i see a lot of trash talk regarding Camelot. i am 33 years old, been hog hunting in east Texas for a good while. All of my dogs have come off of Camelot lines, and i have never had one fail me. they have the drive, and game that i have found to be second to none. everyone talks about how big they are...the heaviest any of my dogs got to be was maybe 65 pounds, and she is 6 years old. now i will say this, there are some new guys out there breeding huge Camelot dogs. how they got there dogs that big is beyond me. but the old lines like what i have raised over the years i honestly believe would stand toe to toe with any carver, bolio, Bordeaux, or other line for that matter. that's just my opinion. you can put it on a shelf.

I understand that your opinion would be in favor of Camelot blood. After all that is what your runnin. But let me say this hunting hogs and "hunting" are two totally different things. Don't get me wrong there might be a chance that your dogs might be able to stand toe to toe. If you put the best of Camelot blood against the besg of any of those lines that you mentioned the chances are slim to none. Also don't get too offended if the regs on here trash ya in this thread. Good luck hunting.

if thats how you feel then fine. run what works for you. as far as being able to race neck and neck wth more popular lines, won't know until you try. but if your hounds bring home the bacon consistently fuck the haters and do you.

Real nice I believe you, I am glad they work as good hog dogs. Can you post a picture or a pedigree?

This is the statement that is laughable to put it in the nicest most respectable manner I can think of.:bsflag:

That's a bet I would be willing to take....and for future reference it's Boudreaux, not bordeaux. With foolish statements like these I would be willing you have never seen a real good dog of working stock. While I don't believe that the camelot dogs have always been so overdone I do believe that they have never been solid working or box quality stock. Game is not a quality that you can find in a cur bred dog i.e. camelot stock in this case....drive, possibly, but not that of a solid game bred dog. That is just my opinion, and you can put it in your head.

its not the line its the dog. i know of a razors edge that beat a mayday 1xw. a large part of dogs is consistency so i'm gonna stick with the mayday over razors edge bc 99 times outta 100 we know which way its gonna go. I have heard that camelot dogs have pretty good drive, just depends on what you want in a dog. Everyone has there own preference

how do you know the percentages on an unknown sample population? you dont :p so percentages are only valid if you have access to the genealogy of the dog.

if i dont no then i'll assume its low. Only deal with something i KNOW is a high percentage. I see what you are saying lol, but im sure you know what i mean.
