if yall like knives, take a look at this one, one of my newer buys...a Buck Hoodlum designed by Ron Hood(RIP) to be the ultimate survival knife. 10" of razor sharp high carbon steel with a notch to bend/break wire and pull hot pots off the fire.

I like Gerber knives for outdoors
for indoor work , it's a toss up between wenger/swibo and victorinox for me

theres a pouch on that Hoodlum sheath, and in it is a Victorinox Swiss Army Farmer...dont leave home without it.;) every outdoorsman should have one in their gear.

:)I carried a swiss army knife for years

used both victorinox and swibo for boning, trimming and carving
the victorinox boning knife was one of my favorites

Woody you need to add a Microtech Ultratech for your EDC. It might possibly be the best vehicle ever for a double edge cutting tool, the two I keep on me (one in my pocket, one in my car) are both fully serrated on one side, and hair whittling sharp on the straight edge. My wife keeps a Troodon in her purse, she's not a fan of DE blades.

If you can find em to pick one up, Masters of Defense are very nice.

Also, off topic, but I know you were hot on your PPS; I got a PPQ for my new carry......until you feel the action on the trigger pull, .1 inch reset, and <5 lb trigger pull, you wouldn't believe it.

    Nice collection.

i have came sooooo close to adding a Microtech to my collection, but im not sure if i really would want to try an EDC it. they are too darn sweet and waaay too expensive to lose LOL. someday man, i will have one, but when i have that kinda money on hand, i usually buy another gun instead;)

and congrats on that PPQ, ive shot one and if i didnt have all that money in my Glocks, i probably would switch platforms. theres alotta other guys i know who were strictly Glock/M&P fanatics, and now are buying in on the Walther pistols.

I really want to pick up the Microtech OSS Cobra but it's a tough decision when a good dog can be got for the same price.

i have been for years, but there are so many fanboys on there who have no interest in new stuff, and all they wanna look at is pics of the same ol same old. every once in awhile i like to try out something new, and all the responses i would recieve were something similar to "why would you buy that?" i have a massive Buck collection (new and old models..fixed blade and folders) and pics of those knives would fire folks right up. that got kinda boring so its just not a forum i enjoy anymore.

Yeah I hear ya. I like to go against the grain be different. It's a tough crowd on there. I guess it's like high school where the cool kids always hated on the loners. Oh well I guess some of us can't be down with the "cool kids".

Lee I want your opinion on these. Thinking getting one, two or three of them. Lol.
