I know an old man who tells a great story about going down to morfin's yard and convincing him to test all his dogs against one another and then shoting the ones that looked bad right on the spot! Alot of dogs were put down that weekend:eek:. Apparently, this was when morfin was a newbie. BTW morfin purchased a few dogs from this fellow including a very famous CH............

    Back to the bellon dogs.
Would you say that they have been breeding best to best or following a line breeding program.

Very interesting thread. When you don't know much about bulldogs, like myself, this conversation really puts things in context. I recognize a few of the peds and names because these youngmen have contacted me one time or the other inquiring........and i never understood why until you can put the pieces of the puzzle together. Makes you really appreciate what your feeding;). Mapula would be proud.

  9. Who has that frozen sperm from the bellon dogs, would like to puchase some ????:d:d:d

you don't have to purchase some frozen semen from bellon dogs you could find some very, very good producers of that blood.

  11. Can you give us some good examples, that are alive today from that bloodline, and at stud ?? Thank you "caos"

I really hope that that S. American blood is as good as the original dogs. It's too bad that it's not being kept under lock & key the way it was meant to be, when the club was around.

lol.... well i think i might know "them" a little better than most. and i know AB has been away from the hounds for quite a while.

  18. Hey Caos do we know eachother? Anyway I hope you don't mind that I am going to tell something about the way things went down here.

One of the most known dogs to come down this way and a great producer was a dog named Blacker. He was winning every match in good style.

Until, a Bellon dog came along and ended his carreer. This was also a killing dog that was showing to produce some excellent dogs as well.

And then,, came one that was finally able to put that old Gr Ch away in his old age. However it should be pointed out that of all the matches he had, the one against Gr Ch Redinho was his toughest.

Caos, I am going to meet with Fred and Pete soon to see if we can't do something together with the dogs we have. I love those Bellon dogs and I think they are the most successful family of gamedogs there is down here in the southern cone.

These are extremly hard biting dogs that seem to come in a very complete package and I think anyone would benefit from this bloodline.

Caos, I am looking at something bred similar to this to add to our program, what do you think? is it worth a try?

  19. Oh and BTW,, they do not sell dogs as far as I can see but they will work together with breedings and trades which is what we are planning on doing.
