Who's Tom Garner ?

 

Tg is an over bred im to me... both have produced great specimen and I'm not saying I wouldn't own something off of them but let's be honest 14 litters a year (not saying im drops as many or ever tg each years) let's say each litter produces 4. 4x 14=56 so say u get 5 GOOD dogs our of that. Sure 5 good dogs a year is great but what about the other 51??? Tg has definitely impacted the bulldog world as bred good dogs but the Frisco controversy and #s of dogs produced a year compared to QUALITY dogs a year has a right to be spoken about

 

Ok let's be honest. think about the total # of good dogs produced every year throughout the entire country, compared to the total # of pups dropped every year. and i'm talking well bred dogs, a whole lot more are culled compared to the # that make an impact.it's just not that easy,if it was we would all have ch & gr ch. as was said before he's buying back proven dogs' not sloop and using them in his program.

I get it he's a businessman and that bothers some people, but people buy from him for a reason. if it was as bad as some people make out he would have gone out of business a long time ago. as the kids like to say, why don't you do you - and let him do him.

by the way. that was at least a respectful response.

 

I'm still trying to figure out how TG can produce 5 good dogs from a litter of 4....hmmm:confused:.. I suspect someone is making up bullshit!!!...lmfao.

 

To some extent I understand why TG tends to irk this kind of ire. The prices and the volume could spark some questions but that too is relative. As slim and others said price is determined by demand further if we use the going rate of lets say the am bully and other such freaks, the "pricier" breeders are still within a fair rate.
Everyone has to start somewhere and to those fortunate enough to get an honest and working introduction under a solid mentor count your blessings but there are countless others with no contacts or like myself not based in the US. What options are there really? Let's be honest how many "working man price" kennels have the facilities to deliver on time in good health to the far reaches of the planet?
I am sure too that there are several people who might have only had to buy one $1500 pup from TG and what they accomplished with the pup qualified them to own others for free. From a local (US) perspective the price too acts as a deterrent to potential bad owners. Of the high percentage that go to pet homes, it might be argued that some of those might have the potential to earn merits in a different owners hands.
It is already established that most of his studs are proven in their own right. My best advice then if someone were thinking of shopping there is KNOW THE B!TCHES. That being said and this is only an observation Lady Princess and Ms Mouth or as close to them as possible would be the direction to start looking.
I say all this as one who has one who though never having seen a Garner dog work, bought all the hate on TG hype. However when I look at the global scene the blood, even if not directly from Tom is representing at the highest levels.

 

And there it is ladies and gentlemen. (IDOL) I THINK NOT! you can insinuate all you want. some of you people don't want to give credit where credit is due. forgive me if i didn't know you where a forum legend. but i bet, if this was a different place in time say pre 1976. he would run through your yard like a bad case of parvo!


A Few people on here know who they are speaking to, but not the majority. and what those people have done. ( REMEMBER IT'S AN EXCLUSIVE CLUB!!) and i guarantee if you knew who i really was - you would be SHOCKED! but in the end none of that matters.

Stop blaming garner, back yard breeders, the humane society, and everyone else. when the people who would like to see everyone of these dogs destroyed browse these forums and see the amount of ignorance on display,and the lack of respect for others,it's not the dogs' they think are the problem it's the people and the culture surrounding them.

I personally don't know that man but you either deal with him or you don't. What he makes off the dogs is his business. Whatever he pays out is his lost. No 1 forces a person to purchase from him. The man obviously knows what he is doing with them bulldawgs. With all these laws some of the dogs are never heard of. Yet I bet you know someone with his name behind the dog. In sure there are other places to get his blood, personally I like the Eppinette type dogs. Still his name is somewhere near. What's in your wallet? Lol lets worry about our yards our dogs. I'm sure if you sell a pup you don't broadcast what's made or profited. Its your business. As far as the breedings of said dogs, we truly don't know how all of the greats were bred.. But give me a good BUCK bred dog any day. JMO

As many of you know due to personal tragedy within my family I had no other choice in my mind but to sell off my humbly small yard. Over the course of the next year I will be beginning again. Most of my foundation was from Toms yard and besides that I have know him for going on 10 years now. I will not be looking to him this time for anything from his yard. That is not due to the quality of his dogs but a personal matter. Either way the man is a master breeder.

 

The personal matter just to clarify is with the man himself I should ad but something that I will not share publicly.

 

dont understand the big reaction either way when discussing TG. You feel you have a good chance to get a good pup or you dont. Same as most any other kennel. I got two from a kennel, not TG, however they got the parents from him. Never hear such big reaction about kennels using stuff down from his.

 

love the forum. didn't mean to single out anyone person, well except for that idol part. but even then it's a good thing we don't all agree. love a good debate keep up the fine work that is being done here.

time to go make the donuts' but would like to give big props to chuvalofan. mans got a personal beef, but didn't use it to smash tg and his dogs. now that might be my idol. LOL
