box dogs rule and as for working SBT.......they are the exception and not the rule. There are some fine individuals but the gene pool of game stock is no longer viable. Mainly badger and vermin dogs but not serious box dogs. The breed is at the same low point as the EBT. This was not the case 20 years ago. Both the SBT & EBT should be crossed and then line bred with tested current APBT stock to produce an animal that can compete but not neccessarily beat JUMBO/YANKEE/IRON KID. JMHO.

But the stafford (sporting) is safe. Cos the K.C have endorsed it.
Of course the k.c f*cks up any breed. But the sporting men arnt showing.

The trouble is there are more and more show staff people getting in to the sports just for a bit of fun and will prob f##k this up.Like fly ball they think they have got a good athletic staff just because it can chase a ball 6 times.

I totally agree with everyones thoughts and comments re;show staffs.
and your right,every tom dick and harry can get involved in the sporting side.
and we all know that the gene pool is diluted by the show staff.
however i feel that it is an excellent oppertunity to now improve the breed for sporting lines,cos the staffs are now PROTECTED by the uk kc
