Don't know much about the redboy stuff, but I think I've heard that it is full of fire really game, but tends to lack mouth and intelligence. If that's the case, it might cross well into the eli stuff because the eli dogs are known for mouth. Some of the Hammond's dogs down from Alligator might work too since they tend to be smart dogs with alot of mouth, but given the large size of the hammonds dogs, when mixed with the redboy stuff if might end up all over the place. I don't know. Like I said don't know much about the redboy stuff...which raises the question, why am I giving my opinion? :) Nevermind

P.I.K's Boomer R.O.M and his son Boomer Jr. are as pure as Redboy dogs as you can get and both are real bulldogs that throw the same into their offspring time and time again.

I myself would like to see Boomer bred to a nice Leaver Red bitch and see what that cross would produce ;)

Cutt, I've heard that eli stuff works good with redboy myself. I plan to put some of it in my program along down the road.

I had a dog that was Redboy/Chinaman/Bolio and he worked out real nice and didnt lack anything. I still have my redboy/jocko dogs and they are pretty good not very smart or good wind.

Here are some dogs that go back to Red boy but quite some time ago.

Not available to the public however. And not tight Red boy by any means. The best Red boy influence stuff, IMO is crossed w/ Buck/old school Patrick.

Some say that Red Boy dogs were game because they were too stupid to know they were getting killed.

I don't currently keep Redboy dogs, but I'm pretty sure those that are crossing it with Bolio blood are having some very good success. However, have you tried using different strains of Redboy. I know that the Deacon strain is having a good amount of success and this strain of Redboy can deliver a crunch too! Also, I think anything off of Travis is working too!

I'm sorry, but I've got to cut in. It's foolish to think "Redboy" dogs cross well into the "X-line" of dogs, for nothing more than a general blanket statement on what those "X-line" dogs are all about. Even if "X" was extremely smart, and bit like a crocodile, breeding is much more complicated than combining two entirely different dogs and getting the best out of each parent. More often than not, you get a bunch of junk. Especially, if you're breeding the dogs, based on blanket statements on their pedigrees, when you don't really know how either stud or bitch performs and the positives/negatives of them.

Rascal does tend to cross very well into Redboy stuff. Although, I've said it before, and I'll say it again...these dogs have been DEAD for a LONG time. You're now multiple generations removed, and without the front of the pedigree representing the family well, you've got shit. With a pretty pedigree. Then you've got inbred shit, with an even flashier ped!

Redboy dogs are as good as any, but the breeding practices mentioned above have really left a bad taste in that line for many.

Many crosses work well with it, and the majority of the time, these crosses are what keep the Redboy line in the lime-light. However, these crosses only work because the dogs being bred are GOOD dogs, not pretty papered mongrels.

Rascal, and Redboy are RIP. This is what I was referring to ;)

We're breeding dogs off them all these years later, whether they are worth the pedigree or not depends on how the line was bred from then until now.
