All I can agree w/ is that not every single damn dog I have is flawless but they are not shot out either, and as far as the abkc standard goes which is where these dogs are shown in, the 1503 dogs actually have better confo than what is the standard cause abkc allows toeing out not desired but not faulted cause they are bully style,,,, anyways yea thanks 4 your opinion,,,,you are right im wrong lweave it at that...

if we get all technical of course .. just like the white terrier now extinct and the old bulldog is what made the terrier right, so yea all these dogs are mixed...
not to mention all these registries that change the name to dogs that derived off common ancestary...
all it takes is 3 years min to change a look on a dog ,,simple as that...

In my eyes the only acceptable "MIX " is the staff and terrier to be used for bully pits...so thats where I stand, Im not ionto using any other breed than them two,,

 

I am just going to leave it at this, The dogs are not bulldogs and the dogs do not have good conformation. For a bully they have better conformation than most but as far as conformation for a working dog they do not. The picture of the dog on the treadmill says it all, The dog looks like it is going to have a heart attack, It's one eye is even bulging out.

By reading your few short posts I have established that you only care about what the dog looks like and how much a stud fee brings in. This is what separates most bulldog owners from the bully owners, We don't expect our dogs to bring in anything so we can live off them. We expect them to be bulldogs and for money and caring for them that is what the good Lord gave us strong backs and a good work ethic for. If you keep most of what you breed that is great, But you still have that streak there in you in thinking in terms of looks and money only. And that is what gets us bulldog owners the most, 99.999% of you folks only care about how much money you can bring in from stud fees and puppy sales and could care less about anything else.

I will take my greyhounds that can run for miles and jump 8 or 10 feet in the air over those "good looking" bullies that are grunting and groaning trying to jump in the back bed of a truck, By comparison where that dog is hanging there off the tailgate looking like it is about to fall; Mine would and have jumped over a closed tailgate on a f-350 4 wheel drive pickup with no problem. Another example mine have jumped and was able to pull themselves up over a 10 foot piece of fencing.

That is what one calls good conformation and being able to function, Not the weak examples that have been presented in the above posts.

And before you say I am just biased or to set in my ways I do want you to know that I have actually had what bully people consider two very well bred bully dogs so I know exactly what they can and can not do.

 

they're not pits.... pitbulls are dogs tht work in a pit ie. PIT bull imo theyre mutts what i will say is that ive seen some good american bullys some even can be debated but yea no apbt and cant be called pitbull cuz there not fighting dogs what they are is american bullys and should be called as such jmo

Not ecvery one that has bully dogs is making a killing at it and thats not the sole reasonn of owning them...I have dogs that can do what yours can,and its not that big of a deal...for the record I dont live off stud fees and puppy sales etc...
fact is im only on here when at work to kill time, not at home on the computer when in that time you could be doing something w/ the dogs...Im stuck at work lol

NMW after 19hunderd and 76 the purpose of the A.P.B.T is not its original...
so guess they have to settle and be companions and pets...

1503, I think you have a condition that is called "kennel blindness." It's not biggie some great breeders have had it & most of us have to have others to assess our stock just so we ourselves don't look at our dogs throuhg rose colored glasses (to include myself).

But let me break it down for you:

Brindle pup 1: Knuckled over on the left leg (that's why he's standing on his toes on that paw).

Brindle pup 2: Mildly affected CD (that's why the front legs are thickened & slightly bowed)

Blue pup: Down on the pastern on the right leg, muzzle too short, likely to have elongated soft palate. But otherwise seems to be a good looking pup.

"G": Flewy, haws showing, eyes too deep set. Tail looks too short. Nice, straight front legs though. I never said anything about his elbows "popping out" I think you have me mistaken for someone else on that comment.

Blue pup with cropped ears: I personally can't see anything on that pic other than he's standing funny.

Last blue brindle male: Nice looking bully. Nice straight legs but is still mildly affected CD. This fact is given away by his asymmetrical front legs (left is thicker than the right).

Look, I think it's great you love your dogs & I admire the pride you take in them. And most of your dogs look good for bullies. Perhaps that would be a better statement. Most of your dogs have good conformation for bullies. But the general statement you make that your dogs have good conformation & then leaving it at that is both misleading & inaccurate.

BTW, don't take it too hard - there is rarely a perfect dog. Heck, some of mine have conformation flaws too. No biggie. The difference is I don't go about posting what good conformation they have UNLESS I have had them evaluated by a licensed judge or by a handler who has shown dogs to their CH. or better yet GR.CH.

My dogs are reg UKC but I know better than to show there why waste my money...
I do show them ABKC, thats where they do well in...and thats tghe standard I go by,,, so sorryu to have mislead ya... I figured posting a bully it kinda goes w/ out saying , they have their own standard,, UkC revised theres and my dogs are too myuch for the ukc.... bvut they are dual regt... just as i have an AKC that is triple reg, I could even reg her w/ adba, but why waste all that money on handles specially if Ill only show in abkc..

Now I will agree with you - they do have good conformation for bullies. The flews & haws still throw me off & I'm disheartened to see a moderate to serious genetic defect bred for, but they're you're breed, knock yourself out. It happens in other breeds too, so I guess what the hey.

But back to what I started to say - when you make a blanket statement "they have good confo" & aren't specific about what breed you're referring to while you're posting on a game dog board, you may get someone who might burst your bubble b/c to us those dogs are standard defying anomalies.

I think it's great you show ABKC & I hope you reg. any litters you have through ABKC. And they're American Bullies, not bully "pits." Please, I implore you, do not even associate the name "pit" with your dogs. All you will do is unintentionally (or intentionally? I hope not!) confuse the masses.
