The 10 minute puppy toy!

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by Mr.Benedict, Jan 3, 2007.

  1. My son left his basketball in the livingroom after being told to put it up, so therefore it was fair game. LOL ! Not a big deal, he has other basketballs. But this one will never be the same.
We counted the time it took for our 8 month old puppy to get into it and deflate
it. It only took right at 10 minutes, keep in mind it was fully pumped with air.
It took quite a while for him just to get a good grip in it, but once he did, it was
    all over for the ball.
Needless to say this is great jaw muscle exercise for any puppy.

Wait till he grows up, I've got some who pop them in less then 10 minutes, and drag the deflated ball around for weeks at a time if I know they dont chew it. Actually though, I've got one who can't get her whole mouth around a inflated football to pop it. LOL

The only toy I found to last more than a few minutes is a galileo bone.

  5. I felt it was a pretty good acheivement for 8 months old, This was the first time actually getting to play with a basketball where he was actually interested in it!
now he's doing everything in the world to get to the poor ball!
I hid it, but he has sniffed it out and keeps trying to dig under the closet door!
    I love persistence!
    Kind of funny to watch!

One of Mercedes' favorite toy is a popped basketball. One of the neighborhood kids left it by our car one day, so I gave it to her. It lasted about 5 min. Now its got big holes in it. She drags it around the yard and tosses it in the air. She loves it!
