Our scale is broke, but judging by body type and length, a guesstimate of 350 should be in the neighborhood.

I was born and raised in South Alabama. Been in the military nearly 20 years. I live in South Texas now. There are hogs in Bama, just not as prolific as here in Texas.

Looks like ya'll got some rain down yonder. Nice hog. Dogs look great. Nothing like a good roll in the muddy water to cool ya'll down. That is a good sized wild hog too. Nothing like some good freezer meat. I took Gretchen (Dixie's mom) and Baby out deer hunting. Should have taken the camera as I didn't expect much the first time. But the walker ran one down and I sicked the Pits on it and they nailed that bastard as Tammy the walker was running it at us. Wicked cool. Supposed to be running some Bear in two weeks. Got a cousen scouting them out right now. I will run Probably four Pit Bull's and some ole mix breed hounds that the cousen has. Lord only knows what they are. lol. One thing about these dogs they don't care what the game is as long as they get to catch it and roll it. I love em. How is that Tigger doing? that is a fine looking dog there. Ya got to get a video up with sound of Rosco talking for the group one time that is one cool dog.

We finally have been getting a little rain as of late. Sounds like you had a good little hunt yourself! That hog was a good'un...approx. 3" cutters that were razor sharp. Dallas, that AB gyp you like wound up with about 4 pokes, and Skipper the liver leopard Catahoula paid the price for keeping him bayed. I had to do a little stitching and stapling on him. He'll be stove up for a couple of days and won't be able to hunt for about 2 weeks.
I held Tigger out this week, I needed to get the ABs in the woods. He'll be in the rotation next hunt though.
I'll put something up on Rosco as soon as I can remember to pick up a firewire cable.

I love Dallas. She is one purdy dog that is for sure. Skipper is a good dog too. Rose is nice I will send you some pics to give to Doug. Dallas and Appolo make a good pair. 3'' cutters is enough to gut ya for sure. Glad the dogs faired well. Better to be stove up than under. Had to break out the stapple that had to be one hell of a cut. Reminds me I better get some saline to rinse out any wounds in the field. Some times those pokes are worse than the cuts. They have hidden dangers that cuts don't. Cuts are more nasty looking though that is for sure. One thing is for sure you're the man I would want on the medic end of the deal. Can't beat a hunt with your own medical corpsman. Shit that is a blessing.

Great pics & congrats on the kill! You're dogs look great & I'd like to commend you for running them in vests & collars. Too many people here in southern LA would just assume buy another dog than protect the ones they've got.

Thanks...too much of a commitment in the dog not put the gear on them.

That and the fact is is down right heart breaking to loose one. Momma woud be mad too. I don't recall ever loosing a dog and not sheding a tear over it. Hell I fell in love with your dogs from moment one. I would get upset for ya. for sure. Not to mention the years you have into training, feed and the vet work. Emotional commitment is my hardest part. I could care less about the money part at that point. And the breeding Dang the list can go on forever.

    ChiaPit....I'll bet there are!

William, you are absolutely right. In the last 3 years, my hunting partner and I have lost 3 dogs...we miss all three. Ultimately, everytime we drop the tailgate we run the risk of not bringing a dog home. But to see how these dogs love to work, they wouldn't have it any other way. I'd rather lose them doing something they love to do than to any other alternative.
