Swimming Anyone?

So I found this lake about 1/2 hour away and decided to check it out for the dogs.
This is a state recreation area with few people - no wake fishing lake with no jet skis or drag boats.

Swimming is great excersize and they get to cool off in the water on hot days. As with anything else I want my dogs to do, I let them see another dog doing it first, preferably a dog that loves that activity.

It helps if you've got two that can be around each other without too much disagreement.

Here is Bean (just turned 15 months) and the old girl. Mind you, this was Bean's first time ever seeing water.

Ever try to run in knee deep water? Even if your dog won't swim, running in the shallows is great too.
I think we'll go back tomorrow.

I do agree that swiming is a great exercise!
