Two dogs, who are the best of friends, have been left without a home, or a family, after their owner died unexpectedly in August. According to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, the dogs, "Rocky," and "Bruiser," stayed in an empty house with a family member who tried to provide them with care, but eventually it became too much.

The shelter wrote, from the perspective of the displaced dogs, "We stayed in the empty house and our grandmother came and cared for us as best she could. She has serious health issues and between that and the painful loss of her son dying here -- well - it was just too much to bear."

Living alone, inside of a cold and lonely house, was a situation that could not continue. Finally, with the help of a kind man, the Voorhees Animal Orphanage was contacted and they agreed to take in the dogs, who are still grieving the loss of their beloved owner

    The biography for Rocky reads:

The shelter is no place for this sweet duo. He is very bonded with his brother and would love a new home and second chance at a wonderful life. Rocky is shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly. He knows a few basic commands including sit, down and drop it. If you are looking to help two special dogs at a new start in life please come meet Rocky and Bruiser!

    Bruiser's biography reads:

He loves to play fetch and loves balls. Bruiser knows a few basic commands including sit and down. He is an active playful boy who would be thrilled to have a big yard of his very own. He would do best with older children. He is very bonded with his brother Rocky. They were raised together and are looking for a loving family to open their hearts and homes to them both. After the trauma of losing their owner they can't lose each other!

Please take a moment to network the information for this sweet pair - they need to find a home where they can live together.
