No reason to breed the 2 the APBT does the job best nothing compares no reason to throw anything else in there

 

There are really few REAL gamebred Staffords left! So crossbreeding the few good ones with the american dogs would be the last nail in the coffin. And the american dogs doesent have anything to gain with the cross either.

i like to see them kept seperate but a few good ones have cropped up.for me there are only a spattering of real staffords around, bred from pit winners and being looked at, these i would like to see being bred from and too each other, not sure if the gene pool is buig enough but i would like to think as long as there are a few about then the real stafford is alive and well, all be it an endangered species.
too many just mate any old crap together, if it ain't tested then it ain't a bulldog whether it is stafford/apbt /cross or whatever.

 

Their is a few good ones about for sure, but as stated already I think they should be kept seperate the working stafford is a dieing breed these days.....

 

there's a lot of work to be done and the show brigade isnt helping the cause in any way shape or form. i mentioned the i've culled in the past (dogs that werent even staffords) and dont have the heart for it anymore at bbo forum, shit the tree huggers jumped on me about this and told me how cruel i was, blah blah... this goes to show they are the majority sad but true and on top of all i'm no big fart, judge or kissass or anyone important to them, so in other words i jeopardize their teddybear sales, the main factor of the decadence of this worderful breed.

 

ok so is the SBT different then the other bull breeds in the since that there isnt any good at all? i mean im sure you can find workable dogs even in the show bred AM staff if you look hard enough right? so if there were a few good people fanatic about saving the SBT couldnt you weed through the bad and find enough good to almost start over? not arguing i honestly dont know if its possible as i've never owned a SBT im a APBT person but i dont want the working dogs of old to slip away at the rate they currently are.

 

Sure there are good ones, but they're scattered all over the place.
But there are people out there keeping them true and alive as a working dog

 

If the parents were both proven I would take one. But I'm not what you would call an expert on peds .

 

this cross will not beifit the apbt,but in the opposite direction it will help the staffs for sure.the working staffs of a few years back were bred closely to the apbts anyway and most of the old game bred staffs had apbt in them.i agree its pointless putting an apbt over a staff when you can just have a straight game bred apbt.but also if you had a good staff female then breed her to a good apbt that would surely compliment and make a good working dog for sure or atleast increase the % by a mile.then just keep the best and breed best to best on what you are looking for in them.surely they will be better than all these so called physco bred dogs and fancy looking dogs eveyone talks about on this side of the forum.surely everyone here loves dogs and loves them from working stock,so why not do this and create some good working staffs instead of keep talking of dogs from years back and dont even come close to how they used to.just my oppinion

ok mixed grill i made that up,you are clueless then.i dont understand if i said wron why dont you just say thats wrong its simple why say different.so the staffs that where fought years ago never got in the box with apbts no?,i think yes they did its been said plenty of times on here anyway.did they cross apbt with game bred staffs that was matched/rolled with apbt,i think yes again.so what im saying is there are or was apbt x staffs that can and will do the job.look at stormer he had english in him and look at how he turned out.the cross does mak good dogs like it or not,but wat im saying is i really think todays standard of game bred or working staffs are not or near as equal to the past so why not cross back into an apbt to raise the bar.but people like you mixed grill is all you do is talk about game dogs and talk shit i suppose and make out you know everything,when most probably in fact you are a know f**k all and just probably walk your dog around the park.so before you try and mug me do some homework your self and stop being clueless yourself lol

also to i believe when breeding dogs you try breed to make better dogs for the future which i do believe in usa/mexico and countrys that do have such influence on the apbt dogs even tho there are plenty of dogs in the past that cannot be equalled.where are the staffs i believe they have had theyre day and its not developed on since whenever really.the kc has ruined this breed especially in the uk

Sorry,but I'm also wondering wich dogs? Beanie? Jocko? Jim? Etc,etc.. They were all staffords. Can you show us the peds that you have seen with apbt in them?
