Sorrells cleared of charges as grand jury hands down dog fighting indictment

    Kevin Myrick 17 hrs ago

Charges have been dropped and the grand jury for Polk County decided not to hand down indictments against a defendant in a animal cruelty and dog fighting case during the panel's latest session.

Victor Long, an Atlanta-based attorney working on behalf of Candace Sorrells, 34, of Rockmart, said today that her arrest would have been prevented had she been forthright with investigators when they arrived at her home in September.

He added that his client maintains the dog found at her home that had just birthed a litter of puppies was not involved in the case at all and is owned by her daughter.

"The dogs that were reported in her house was her daughter's dog and was given to her, and had nothing to do with the dogs that they alleged that was in the dog fighting situation," Long said.

District Attorney Jack Browning said that an indictment was not returned against her for 107 felony counts of being party to a crime, but that the case is moving forward against the other defendant in the case.

Browning said that arraignment will be forthcoming against Devecio Ranard Rowland, 32, has remained in jail since his arrest in late August, first on animal cruelty charges stemming from the discovery of 70 dogs on property he formerly owned at 569 Cashtown Road. He alone was indicted in the case which is expected to head to court in early 2018, Browning said.

The Grand Jury approved of 107 counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals and 107 counts of felony dog fighting and paperwork was signed on Nov. 3. That totals 214 counts so far against him, with charges still pending on several others if pursued.

He also remained in jail without bond on additional 107 misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals, probation violation, two more counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, and a charge of conspiracy to commit a felony, according to the Polk County Jail's records.

    Because its all bullshit.

For example peeing in public is a disorderly conduct but if he peed on someones property he could also be charged with vandalization and if a passer by feels threaten by one peeing in public he could be charged with assault and if one does not stop peeing on the officers command he could be charged with resisting arrest and if one gets some pee on the officers boots its considered assault against a officer etc etc...LMAO

But if you are famous like R.Kelly then its ok to pee on young bitches. LMAOROTF

The word FREEDOM in America is bullshit, when AMERICA has over a billion laws for its people to follow and obey and growing more everyday. SMDH LMAO
