Sofiakis

Viewed a pedigree posted on another thread, and the name triggered a memory. Chicago, decades ago. I believe Mr. Sofiakis was an acquaintance of my late father. Not dog related. Although the dogs were Sofiakis' reputation. Just curious about his contributions to the breed, from historical perspective, anecdote.

 

I believe his name was Paul Sofiakas and he did alot of breedings with Don Mayfield...
Sofiakas name seemed to bridge the gap from Kershner and Mayfield also...

I dont know much about the man besides these peds and what I offered,,,
but would love to learn more if anybody wants add anything...

 

Paul was a Good Man not much that I saw as a bragger Talker upper kinda like seen most the time, that was the dogs job. He was an Important part of many shifts continuing and was behind many a Great Dog. He is one that should be Mentioned more yet He wasn't chasing that sort of fame not any fame. I am glad He was around and I could learn from him. He is Missed. Yet the Families Continue.
