A Russian jeep , where I live the Pag and hilux shit itself but the jeep keeps goin. and if it ever breaks it can be fixed for the price of 2 chickens mate.

hey get a hilux if you want they are good 4b's, I got the jeep because it was so cheap and very basic.

I never buy new, waste of cash they drop 35% as soon as you drive out the car yard.

I would go a hilux over a jeep if you plan on doing any real off road stuff, my mate has got a wrangler and it guzzles the fuel and when it shits itself due to his driving off road as much as its been not too expensive to fix as he does it himself it seems there is allways something wrong with it nothing major just realy niggily crap that pisses you off. Pretty shitty for a two year old car.

I'm not talking about the seppo jeep JY lol. They are the same as all others, The piece of shit I have is just a mechanical carby thats it lol. no chips or FI to crap itself, and the more banged up it is the sexier it looks LMAO.

I did have a willis Jeep yrs ago though that I lost on a bet that was tuff as an old boot.

a hilux is what all the terroist use and they swear by em... They know a good truck when they see em... Cheap and easy to fix, parts readily availible. .... Look what they use it for and where. Some of the roughest terrain in the world they travel.

 

Cant beat a hilux, they are good for everything, im getting mine at xmas time, then i can take the dirt bikes to the beach, crap to the rubbish tip, build some wooden cubbies for the tray to chuck to dogs in. perfect!

 

wtf that truck went underwater and still started up with no spare parts... and you can fits lots of people in it ..... not uncommon to see 15 to 20 people riding in back of the bed

 

i have a hilux 97 extra cab with a after market denco/mitsubishi turbo fitted to a 5l motor , great 4wd reliable goes any where. i also have a daihatsu feroza which is my shooting bus, and drive it to work, will put up picks later.

 

its what the general public in saudi arabia like, a lot of hilux cars over there, its part of their culture, also somali rebels like them. throw a machine gun at the back and do a circle around the neighborhood lol

Bought an import version of the 4runner a while back (93 toyota surf) 2.8TD. And so far it's been nothing but good reliable fun! I know most ozzie 4by drivers wouldn't touch an import if it was free, But I'm not too bad with the spanners and my old man and his mates can seem to fix anyhting over a carton or two. Was looking at a 79 series cruiser, but this had all the bells and whistles and wasn't quite as rough on fuel, So wasn't a bad buy at all! Overheating and cracked heads can be an issue on some. But this one hasn't let me down, even with some pretty soft sand hills in hot weather.
