God thoes were the days !!!!! And I remember baker and his lamb chop sideburns LMAO . And yes Mr Sparks was at almost every show all over the country Its sad to see thoes days gone ...................... OTD

 

And mr.sparks was a highly intelligent man to boot both my mentors new mr.sparks very well. The one story i remember most is pete wanted a sign or something burned in wood and the lady at the stand kept getting it wrong pete took the paper from the lady and said thats not right this is how i want it with a pen in each hand at the same time started in the center of the page and began to write not print backwards with his right hand forward with his left and both being upside down after he was complete the lady was in such awe she thought she was on candid camra [ not sure of spelling it was a tv show in the 70s] true story from my mentor to me to you.thanks k/k

Liked the vid alot.. however you can see where some of the propaganda came from where the agent or whatever said they put 8-10 week old pups to be beaten up by experienced [] dogs, that is a bold face lie but I suppose it is expected...... anyway great vid thanks for the post

 

I remember going up to Baker's and was going to breed to Boomerang with a female and he was not home at the time and was invited inside by Margret and she pulled some albums out and was going thru them and I ask her who she thought was the better dog of the 3 (Midnight Cowboy, Chivo, Boomerang) all 3 were there and she paused for a minute and said...well Baker is going to tell you Cowboy was his pick, but she said Boomerang was the best, it was very interesting.
Anyway when Baker got back from hunting he said Boomer was missing about the last 3 times and said if it was him he would breed to this one and he turned around and pointed to the "Scratch" dog so this is what we ended up doing, she was a really a Bad Bitch, we took the "Precious" dog back into our line of dogs and got this one, that killed a 2x winner at 22 months old.
