Like I told you that is your job as a ‘conditioner’ to put wind in them.

How does he know? He didn’t even see the dog, so how could he say that? Do you really think he would say anything but good things about the conditioning of a dog using his keep?

Being crossed has nothing to do with having ‘natural’ wind or not. If that was high on you list in what you wanted in a dog, why did you get that dog?

NOw TEXAS you just started bashing my dad and now im getting a little pissed....i said that ME AND MY DAD conditioned this dog like carzt....DID NO GOOD...like i said he just dont have it......and i dont understand why thats the first thing you grab for ....BASHING.....i tell you somthing and you just totally disregard it as if i havn't even said anything....

i got the dog before i even really knew about bloodlines.....crossing pure or what ....i got hooked u[p by my mom....her old boyfriend is the guy i got it from....in CA....the lancaster area....but after i LEARNED the truth about ANY bloodline.....it was and IS clear.....but ill just see you around then....

No you did not! I’ll refresh your memory, you said, “i conditioned him” and “i went by my dad's conditioning”. When did ‘I’ turn into ‘we’?

I’m not bashing you, just pointing out your inconsistencies and the advice you preach so highly about, you yourself don’t even follow. But yet you don’t tell those, you are giving out the advice too.

No what I do is break down what you are saying and put it in context.

if most of us start out that way why you still bashing me for not practicing what i preach....im getting MY FIRST one this comeing spring....i have just chose to WAIT for the breeding THAT I WANT...just because i am a follower of R.K. doesnt mean ill just take anything off him....and yes....I CONDITIONED the dog i had....and i conditioned under my dads SUPERVISION....so i would say me and my dad conditioned this dog....just stop bashing and our debates would go along alot better

 

ok enough is enough we all have our own way of conditioning , either it be tredmill , catmill , the good ole road work , slat mill or carpet mill. what ever you're doin can use improvement. NON OF US HAVE THE "PERFECT" BULLDOG , that's why proceed to making our yard better , if you cross or don't corss there are many ways for making a blooline better we all know this. if you condition your dog for 2 to3 hour or 6 hours , if you're winning with what you got than you shouldn't have to worry about what others say unless it's something to , try it out and if it doesn't work than stick to what you were doind before. we dogmen and yes there will be times like this where conversations will get heated and emotionally , but if you think about the great dogmen from the past they had there moments , but that had great respect for each other we need to follow their foot steps in the respecting part. i love the apbt and would trade any other breed for it! just remember it doesn't hurt to try new things it may works for the better of you dogs , look at how lonzo , carver , crenshaw , jerry , mnt man(les) , and other great dog man , do or did things and better it. i know i got off track a little , but my point is don't down play some elses way of working their dogs unless you know it works or not other than that.......that's all i have to say.

Never once have I stated such. Why are you intimating that I have? Also just so you know, I was PM’ed by ‘Who’ for my opinion on this and another one of his post. So should I have not obliged his specific request?

i'm not taking noones side and i have no prolems with texas he seems like a really cool person , just really up front with his opinions , all our opinions count but like i said you can't knock it if you haven't tried it!!!!!!!

 

i'm getting ready to do something constructive like condition my dog , it's time for his workout! he love to work and loves roadwork he wont stop pulling till after 2 hours work roadwork then he'll slow down a bit before he starts back up.

Why didn’t you just state that in the beginning? Why does your statements always change for post to post?

finally CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from TEXAS....i agree with NC on the whole opinion stuff....i was merely expressing my opinion.....the keep i use for my dog(s) is straight from D M...with a little bit of changes....this work works GREAT for me...and i was just stating this fact for others to TRY...but from the bashing i got from TEXAS the message was lost and i was forced to defend myself..(in a way)....but i hope the debates on this site get better this is a good site and i hope to better it.....

 

i would like to know if anyone could give me any input on how to start on building a slat mill

I would use both the more tools the better you just gotta know how t use each equipment the right way.
