i kind of like these two. they were bred and owned not too far from where i live. i"m pretty sure many will dissaprove . lol not every stafford fancier approves of the bug eyed beer barrels .

The APBT comparison is way off you can't compare APBT's to Staff's/Bullies which is exactly what those pet bull's are. Game Bred APBT's today look just as they did back then there has been no change.

 

whatever type you like keep it out of the showring for the sake of the breed. work it on something and if you ever breed; breed healthy staffords with a purpose in mind and the rest will follow even beauty

Integrety is it breed for show if that's your thing but use common sence doing it. Don't reinforce genetic faults to over exadurate a conformation point and don't outcross for the same. Unfortunatly some people are light on integrity and will do anything to win even at the cost of their "beloved dreed's" quality and future.it is up to the few who cherish the breeds origional utility to maintain.unfortunatly you apbt boys are only partialy right there are fine examples of your breed but are fast becoming the minority.keep it real

 

i went to this thread beacause it had the most posts and views staffs arn't my thing it's winter no adba shows since thanksgiving i heard there is gonna be a ukc show in YORKVILLE IL right down the street i want to go and hangout for a while ,, at the adba shows they have fun classes like jr handlers best black best buckskin best conditioned judges choice and whatever good idea someone comes up with the entry money goes to the club and i belive all breeds are welcome i've only seen a staffiebull once in iowa does this apply at ukc shows i'd like to bring our black pup with we're board and want to show even if we have no chance to win are we welcome to compete in fun class ,, and can someone post a show flyer i have no idea how to get the info ,, yes if we come and or allowed to come you guys are welcome to joke or pick on us a little it's expected so we wont get upset about anything

 

if show judges wouldnt have shitty or mediocre dogs to look at there wouldnt be so many worthless dogs to begin with. i mean look around its no secret all these pathetic looking dogs who couldnt even take two steps without running out of air. i take my working-whippety looking staffords over these so called they could do it too looking like ones. a chubby big bone athlete couldnt run a 15 mile marathon properly even if he dreams big and have all the desire in the world to finish it. heck i always wanted to be a top notch martial artist (and practice almost my entire life since i can remember) and compete professionally, the desire is/was there to take me to but i knew my limitations once i got my ass handed to me. theres a big difference between wanting and having what it takes to be the best. i dont care who says it or how you put it, there are very few staffords that could make their owners proud, showcrap isnt among them. im yet to see one or hear about one to surprise me in any venue, and im not talking freesbee competition here

 

My wife and I used to show our bullmastiffs in the ckc,not overly seriously but we did.I found it to be a joke first off unless you were one of the professional handlers you did not have a chance regardless of your animal.Now my male I would consider to have been a throwback, he was not overly large very athletic and a S.O.B. he did not care for any other four legged animals and was in his share of ruMbles with coons and accidental fights.So he had some scars on him,which on a couple times was asked to leave the ring because of them.Also we were. Constantly told he needs to put on 5 to 10 lbs again Joke.Showing to me is waste of time.Around here I will say there is no way you can have a working type and show it

of corse shows ruined every breed they breed for a shape designed by the fancy who have never worked their dogs a working sheepdog/border collie and a lassie type collie.....show gsd and working east europe gsd.....racing greyhound and show greyhounds..... fell/patterdale terriers and show lakeland terriers......show whippets and non ped whippets...staff bullterrier/amstaff and pitbulls... the list is big

yes the 2 kennel clubs for pitbulls have two different standards,,,but show of any kind ruin breeds...the AKC amstff and UKC pitbull are very close in type might be dew to the dual registry some breeders have with these 2 clubs, both these breed are physically inferior to the ADBA show dogs...but even the show type from ADBA is inferior to the match bred pit bull, and as for the joke of a breed SBT they are so inferior they can hardly walk ...

what seems retarted to me is relying on some conformation judge tell me how my dog should look like. i dont agree with many rules and regulations in life, there are just there to get money from the poor and weak. another shitty situation i am tired of. is these big entities and their plot telling me my dog should look certain way or meet certain criteria/standard so they can pedigree my dog and then pay for this nonsense. i think is time to start handwriting peds. dogs destined and bred for show conformation are the downfall of any breed. if i go to a show will be shits and giggles, oh bbq and beverages too.

 

to each is own,its something positive to do wth these dogs,if people dont like dog shows or adba judges thats fine I dont like basketball so i dont play it
