I came to this forum 10 years ago as my female was problematic. This community helped me to understand the breed of dog I had and what was fair and real to expect from her. Once I knew this, training her to be an outstanding Obedience competitor and to know it was OK that she only could be around my male was fine.

This community embraced me and mydawgs when I needed it and I will forever be grateful to it. We lost our MM/St B boy in 2011, he was 14 and lost him to cancer, I thought my heart would break....last Saturday we had to put down our female, she was 15 and was having violent seizures. I am having a hard time with this but you know when it is time and she was just too good to me to not do the right thing.

Been a while since I have been here.....but to the people that helped save her from an uneducated owner, to her long and wonderful existence, I wanted you to know. I love her so much and am at peace with letting her get to the Bridge, but my heart is heavy....

RIP my girl....I love you Lilly

Glad to see the community is still strong and helping the breed....you folks are wonderful!

I know what you're going thru, as do many I'm sure, and it is a struggle....no doubt. It's a hole that never does quite disappear. Hell, I've lost family and it didn't hurt as much. But, dammit, life goes on as they say........and I'm sure it will for you. Sorry for your loss......RIP Lilly.

We should all strive to be the great owners our dogs think we are ! Many times, my dogs would "grin" and wag their tails and let me know that my youthful inadequacies were accepted by them and forgiven. I miss them all, but a special place is held for that first little female who taught me to love life again and went through many difficult times with me.
