Hello , i just got my APBT puppie (male ) 2 days ago , and my 9 year old Staff (male) show some sign of being bothered and growl when the little guy get too close .

The older staff have some pain in the rear end legs , not much but still.

i dont want my puppie to get injured and i dont know what to do when the elder one growl or bark once or two at the puppie .

Right now i got crate for each one and they only meet outdoor under close supervision .

Should i take turn in taking them out and separate them for piece of mind ?
My puppie got warned already by the staff , no blood nothing , just barking growling and once snap at the head .

    what you think guys ?

I think you answered your own question.

Should i take turn in taking them out and separate them for piece of mind ? That would be your best and safest bet. Keeping them together is setting them up to fail. Chances are, the pup will recieve the worst of the deal and why chance it if prevention is pretty easily accomplished....

Crate and rotate and your problem is solved.

allright , iam happy to have such advice , it will help the dog and myself aswell .

My Staff while not being a pure bred gamedog still show some agression , so i will crate and rotate , as iam not the Dog whisperer or some pro trainer .

It will give the puppie 100% quality time with me in a safe environment , and without having to watch out for what the older dog think or might do .

another way is to by a muzzle and put it on the staffy while around the puppy so it can get to know the lil guy and when they are use to eachother take the muzzle off but keep doing this for a few weeks
